Mallory wouldn't have been in Hogsmeade at all, but her shop carried a few pieces from Sterling Style that she'd needed to talk about in person. Her work was done now and she was ready to apparate back to Diagon Alley, but she had time to explore. There was a dirty little pub she had no interest in, the usual collection of shops, a store with some fabulous photography that she intended to check out more thoroughly later, and just this side of a nightclub was a jewelry store.
She might have walked past had she not seen a beautifully crafted bracelet and earring set in the display that caught her interest. It wasn't ruby, she was sure of it, and yet it was too vivid a red to be garnet... She decided to go in and ask about it.

"If I can help you with anything, just ask," Emilian said before even looking up, though when his eyes did drift away from his work they paused. The appreciation of the figure before him was similar in many ways to his old attraction, but also different. He was curious and interested, however, little blood flowed and he didn't start planning his attack.
He absently flexed his damaged hand with its ring and dragged his gaze away to focus again on the slender chain in front of him. There were spells for such things, but repairs helped keep his hand mostly mobile.

"Yes, I want a closer look at the bracelet and earrings in the window," Mallory said, cutting straight to business. She wasn't here for a social call and, in fact, knew little about the merchants in Hogsmeade. "What gemstone are they?" She had a fondness for red, and these were different.

"Red beryl," Emilian answered without even having to look at what the woman was interested in. "It's one of the rarer colors, those stones are from America." He stood and rounded his counter to pull the jewelry free of the display case. The last years of no contact and forced self-control, even if his therapy sessions had died off, had made it so much easier to focus on his work. Though this woman did tempt his eyes. "These are new additions, you're the first to ask about them."
