Mari snorted in something that maybe vaguely resembled a laugh, but he didn't speak for he didn't even know how long. "I'm really glad you came here with me," was what he said when he finally spoke. He might not have ended up with Indigo in the first place if Castiel hadn't come, but he was very glad he didn't have to go through this alone.

"Me too, Kawaii-Kun," Castiel said. His heart ached for Mari, and a little for himself and all the things they'd left behind. He'd been feeling a little sorry for himself and a little lusty for Cheyenne before Mari had found him, and now that seemed selfish. Not that he'd known. "You want to go make out? Sometimes that helps."

Mari actually managed a chuckle at that. "I dunno," he said, shrugging. "I feel more like hiding." Which he hadn't done. Instead, he'd come in search of Castiel. He'd be a pretty pathetic making out partner right now, he thought. "Maybe I won't date anyone anymore, and I'll just get a whole bunch of cats and be the crazy old cat guy on the corner with the scary house."

Castiel gave a slight snort of a laugh. "That's sad, Mari," he said. He stood up and grabbed his friend's arm to tug him to his feet. "Let's go hide somewhere together. Screw curfew, okay? You come sit on Kurai's lap and I'll kiss it all better." And maybe he'd talk to Indigo about being a huge jerk if he ever ran into the guy alone.

Mari reluctantly stood and looped his arm through Castiel's for comfort's sake. Though he appreciated Castiel's efforts, part of him just wanted to be miserable for a day or two. It seemed appropriate, in his mind, at least. That part of him wanted to mope and lounge about the common room eating Pocky and reading magazines or something. "Okay, okay," he said.
