Matt stepped out onto the pitch in his green Slytherin robes. He looked around the pitch for a bit, not seeing anyone in the stands, and then mounted his firebolt and took off, speeding around the pitch. His hair blew back in the wind, his eyes focused in concentration as he dove to the ground, speeding up leaning all the way against his broom. He never hesitated as he pulled out of the dive just feet above the ground and finally came to a stop near one of the goal posts. He looked satisfied with himself. His parents had tried to discourage him from playing quidditch for the past few years, telling him that he should be focused on school and what he will do afterward, but he really didn't care what they thought right now.
He went back to the ground and went to the box with all of the balls in it and opened it up. He smiled as he released the snitch and watched with fly off. He gave it a minute head start and then mounted his broom again and kicked off hard, flying around the pitch once again in chase of the snitch. After only 5 minutes he had caught the snitch and held it in his hand tightly. Maybe he could be a pro player after all.

Riley had been outside when she saw from a distance a faint figure on a broomstick by the Quidditch Pitch. Having nothing better to do, she made her way to the stands hoping to catch a glimpse of some sports. Though she never played Quidditch, she had always been a fan of the people who could. To her dismay, by the time she got to the pitch the player had already caught the snitch and looked about done. She lingered a bit of a ways away and debated leaving, but was curious to see if this guy would continue to play or not.
