Even if he hadn't had detention, he'd still have been late. He didn't care where they'd agreed to meet, and he didn't want to do this stupid project. Still, he wanted his name to at least get onto whatever paper they turned in, so he'd make an appearance.
He walked into the room across from the painting of the centaur battle and dropped into a chair. "Let's get this over with," he said.

Aiden was usually a happy go lucky kind of guy, but having to wait so long for his partner wore on his nerves. "Listen, mate, I know you think you're like this big bad guy, but I'm not going to sit here and let you mess around, right?" If he did end up doing all the work he'd go to the professor, it wasn't that hard.

Ly's brows drew together, and he gave the stupid guy a sneer. "I showed up, didn't I?" he said. He didn't need this crap. "You want to do it yourself, do it, f~ing jock." He grabbed his bag. F~ this, he'd make that Ravenclaw switch with him, and work with his sister anyway. The professor couldn't do crap if the project was already done.

"I want to get this done, mate, and if you don't pull your weight, I'll have a talk with the professor. Let's get this done, we'd already be finished if you'd shown up on time," Aiden said, opening his book to the appropriate chapter. He didn't want to deal with this guy who was so full of himself for longer than he had to.

"Talk to whoever you want, I'm out," Ly said. The guy had started off insulting him, and he wasn't sitting around taking it. Ly stood up and didn't even bother flipping the finger before he left.
