Dare was grinning like a damned fool when he made it back to Diagon Alley. He'd done his best not to on his way through the castle, but there was no holding back now. There was a definite bounce in his steps, a bit of a loose swagger he wasn't even aware of as he pushed open the doors to the ice cream shop. He dipped his head, letting his hair hide what it could, but the smile was sticking. He was so going to get it for what he'd done.

Rhys was moving a little slower this morning, so though he was pleased with Matthew's efforts, he was sitting out in the main area of the shop, tablet on the table in front of him. He had begged off the shelter, promising to come in the next day, instead. When Dare finally made an appearance, he raised his eyebrows. "Enjoy yourself?" he asked.

Dare failed to smother a sound something between a chuckle and a mischievous giggle, then tried to make a straight face. "No," he said, then chuckle/giggled again. "Oh my God, Rhys," he said, shaking his head slightly. He kept his fringe forward over his eyes as he headed toward the man and took a seat. "I've never had a night like that, I swear." Not that he hadn't had many really, really good nights, but they'd done about everything they could think of.

"I've heard the man's talented," Rhys said, glancing down at his tablet and closing out a few windows, telling a friend in chat that he would be back. "Thankfully, however, I managed to get Matthew to stop mentioning sleeping with him again months ago." It had only been a mild annoyance and whenever Matthew slipped up he didn't scold too badly.

"Oh my God," Dare said again. "I'd get hard just thinking about it, but I can't." He'd gotten a farewell that he wouldn't be forgetting any time soon. "I'm starved, figured I oughtta come home so you guys knew Keith didn't like, murder me and hide my parts." And he was exhausted. He should be feeling horrible about himself right now, but it was so hard. He giggle-chuckled at the thought. Hard.

"For some reason I can't see Keith doing that," Rhys said with a small smile. "A man came by asking for you, blond, Mano I think? He asked us to send you to the cafe." He wasn't sure how much of a rush the man was in, but considering he hadn't stood by waiting it couldn't be very important.

"Mano," Dare repeated. His grin faded, but he felt too good for a smile not to come back a moment later. "He's one of Michael's friends," he explained, and turned to look in the direction of the cafe, then turned back toward Rhys and stretched his arms out behind him.
"God, I need to eat something," he said. He could kill two birds with one stone if he ran by the cafe, but considering who the man was probably hunting him down for, it might just kill his appetite. Then again, if something had happened to Michael...
His smile faded again. "Ah, I'd probably go see what he wants. I'll get something to eat there." And possibly fall asleep in his food. He felt so good.

"Go on, but if he's a friend of Michael's it probably wouldn't be a good idea to give him a rundown of what happened with Keith," Rhys pointed out. He couldn't quite tell how much restraint Dare had at the moment. Of course, it would probably be better for Dare to get it out now instead of saying something to Michael

Dare grinned again. "He's not that good a friend," he teased. Besides the fact that Mano was nothing if not a complete manwh~. He gave a low grunt as he pushed to his feet, then ran his hands back through his hair, as though that would somehow make yesterday's clothes more presentable. "Do I need to go up and feed Elouai?" he asked.

Rhys shook his head and gestured back toward the counter. "Matthew took care of her," he said. "She hasn't caused any problems." He had worried a little that she would act up when Dare didn't come home, but he hadn't heard anything the whole night, not that he had really been listening for her.

"If I'm not back in a couple hours, she'll need walked," he said. "She'll let you know when she's had enough, just remind her to get water when you get back. Thank you, seriously." His grin returned. He so hoped this wouldn't be a mood-killer. He checked his wallet for money, then headed out. magikal05.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=tea&thread=6874
