"This is different," Dare hissed. "I'm not doing this." It would just start all kinds of trouble with Michael. He didn't want to deal with a guilt-riddled Michael because someone else had helped him, and he didn't want to unload on Michael. He'd tried this every way except just dealing with it himself, and that's what he was doing this time. "Thanks, but no thanks." He turned purposefully to stride off, giving a sharp whistle to call Elouai. He needed to get out some energy before he went back to the blanket.
