Name: Portia Alathea Nightingale Tremlett
Year you wish to be in: 6th
Description: Tall, slender, black hair, hazel eyes, full lips
Personality: A good cross of saucy and sweet, with an emphasis on the saucy and enough sweet to be redeemable. Her sauciness comes in part from being the daughter of a constantly-touring rockstar father who loves her and dotes on her. She knows she's talented, and has a strong sense of self-confidence. She can play several musical instruments well, including guitar, bass guitar, piano, and violin. Her singing voice is a slightly husky mezzo-soprano. Her speaking voice is soft, but strong.
Pureblood, but as her parents were entertainers who married young, they got divorced. Good relationship with her mother. Gets along with both parents, both in the rock world and in the wizarding world. This keeps her just grounded enough not to be bigheaded. She is a contradiction; spontaneous, independent, but fully able to care for people, once she can bridge the gap of her parents' fame.
Portia is intelligent enough, but considering the environment she was raised in, from the backstage time, the gypsy rockstar lifestyle, and her stepmother's constant curiosity and interest, she is more interested in having fun than hitting the books.
Background: The elder of two daughters of Donaghan Tremlett, bass player in a popular wizarding band. Parents married rather quickly in 1995, when father was twenty-three years old and mother was twenty. She was pregnant with Portia at the time and, as is common with rushed decisions, the marriage ended only a few years later. Dad remarried a Muggle he met on holiday and fell in love with. Stepmom, even years later, still finds wizarding things amusing and entertaining. Thus, the Tremlett sisters are exposed to Muggle life, while being rooted firmly in wizardry.
They've toured with their father‘s band. They've been tutored, and spent summers with their mother, and though the sisters have had one another, they haven't had much opportunity to socialize with their peers, especially away from their father's fame. Together, they decided that they want to try a real school, to try and fit in. They don't want to use their father's name for attention, so they won’t bandy about the fact that they're related to him.
About a year ago, Portia got herself into a bit of trouble. Her baby son, Lawliet Robin Tremlett, will be living with Portia's mother during the school year.
Anything Else: The phrase bandy about should be used more often.
