Ly would gladly tear this castle down, stone by stone, reduce it to nothing, and spit on whatever was left. When that professor had given him two detentions, he'd thought he would be dragged off into the forest with the groundkeeper and made to feed thestrals bloody meat or something similarly disgusting. He hadn't imagined this miserable boredom, sitting in an otherwise empty classroom doing nothing. Well, to be honest, he was leaning back in his chair half-asleep, but that hardly qualified as a reason to live.

If this was Hogwarts famed hospitality, it paled in comparison to that of the great Athens. The terrible directions and poor description on how to find the hidden door made her blood boil, but she walked on deciding that she would eventually stumble on it or at least someone going there.
Taking a chance at one door she peered in, but was about to leave realizing it definitely was not what she was looking for. But upon seeing the other student she stepped in full view. "Pardon me, but do you know where I can find the..." she paused looking down at the badge she was supposed to pin to her robes. "...Slytherin common room?" She finished. It was an odd name, and would take her a while to learn to pronounce without having to read it. Besides such a foreign word was only made harder to pronounce by her accent.
Lux had read a little bit about the four houses on her ride to the castle, a concept that was not hard to understand but in her mind was not rational. They didnt have such a thing in her old school. You were placed in the living quarters you could afford, not based on your personality and how you would respond to certain situations. Besides it was judged by a mind reading hat of all things.
It did not matter at that moment anyways she will complain to her brother by owl later, she did promise to write to him as soon as she could…

Ly stirred lazily from his doze, giving a long yawn before even bothering to open his eyes. He settled the chair forward on all four legs and blinked, getting used to the room again, then scanned from the empty professor's desk to the door. He blinked slowly and looked the girl over with a casual eye. He had no clue what she'd just said, but unless this was a changing of the guard, he was out of here.
"You a prefect?" he asked. He blew a puff of air, sending a bit of pale hair back from his face. He had no clue who anyone was around here, and didn't care beyond whether or not he could leave without getting another detention stuck onto his sentence. His sister was already upset about the three from the train.

Had he been asleep? Lux didn't like to repeat herself, but obviously this students punishment, which hardly seemed adequate, had allowed him to doze off.
Waiting for him to be fully awake she took a small step closer inside this time having an even better view of him. She could hazard a guess as to what a prefect was but she wondered why he would think her to be one. She wondered if feigning authority would be an easier way to 'coerce' this guy into showing her where the common room was. "Well yes, but I must first get your name and house, to sign you in of course." She went to sit at the chair in the front, Lux had no moral objections to the whole idea, it was just pretending and hurting no one.
If this guy was from her house, which she prayed he was she could just ask to tag along. If not she could just leave, no point in sticking around. Although, she could take this as an opportunity to 'forge connections' as her father said.

Damn. "I'm already signed in." He had been since he'd gotten here, and if there was a roll sheet somewhere, his was the only name on it. He slid down in his chair a bit, resigned to further boredom. He didn't even know when the professor had left the room, but if a prefect was here, they must be able to give detentions, too.
He didn't care about detention, beyond being separated from Ly. He'd love to snowball them into a quick expulsion and a return trip home, but if he spent the intervening time in here, he'd go crazy. He declared his feelings on the situation by crossing his arms on the table in front of him and laying his head atop them.

Lux stood up and walked towards the large desk pushed into the corner of the room. She picked the parchment laying there and felt relieved to find that he was a Slytherin. "You are... Lysiseraph Phrixus." She eyed the name carefully she could recognize the parts of the name. "Latin." He did not look like he came from the Mediterranean, and the only other country which still named through Latin roots was that of Italy and occasionally Spain.
Was this punishment supposed to teach him a lesson, if he was going to sleep then it wasn't much of a punishment, Hogwarts was soft. "I hardly see the point of all this..." she started, to be honest she wanted nothing more than to find her room and start writing her letter, but if she just allowed this student to go, not only would she be in trouble for impersonating authority, but she would be apart of helping him skip, Luxana was not the type to be in unfavorable positions.

"Mhm," was all the response the girl got. He didn't see the point either, but he was doing his time so he could get it over with and get back to what he wanted to do, which was find a way out of this place. He didn't bother explaining anything to the prefect, not when she was one of those in power. Being a student didn't make her exempt from being under the power of The Man.
He didn't have to talk to her, and wasn't about to acknowledge her saying his name. Yes, he was Lysiseraph Phrixus, and yes, Latin, but that was a statement and not any kind of question. He wasn't under any obligation to speak to a prefect. He'd been told to stay here and reflect upon his misdeeds and how he could behave better next time or some bullsh~, and he had indeed stayed here. That was the best they were getting.

Luxana was amused. He didn't answer to authority or perhaps wasn't much of a talker anyways. What was even more amusing was the fact that if he wished, he could get up and leave and she wouldn't be able to do anything about it. She let out a barely audible giggle then straightened in her chair.
"Do you... like Hogwarts? Is it any good?" Thinking about her words she wanted to curse, it gave a hint towards her lack of experience, but maybe he could ignore it... he seemed to be doing good at it. Luxana thought that if she was stuck in here for however long his sentence was, she would try to milk him for information... not that he was responsive.
