Verity had spent a good two hours straightening her hair that morning, and then another hour applying her makeup to look like she didn’t have much on. It took her a total of four and a half precious hours to get ready, but it was so worth it. With her hair straightened, it now reached her lower back, a few inches longer than it was when it was in its naturally curly state. She decided to keep her outfit simple: white shorts and a purple tank that was deep enough to nearly match the color of her eyes, but also fit perfectly so that it showed off a hint of her tattoo. She slipped on some gladiators and headed off to complete the day’s activities, whatever they would end up being.
Since it was summer, most people had gone home to enjoy their vacation. The castle felt abandoned without the usual crowds of people. It was kind of peaceful, but mostly it was lonely. Verity loved being surrounded by people, especially if she was the center of attention. Nonetheless, she wandered through the corridors and out of the Dungeons. She hated being in the Dungeons, they were dark, cold, and disgusting.
Verity wandered around the corridors for a bit. The castle wasn’t insanely hot like the outdoors. She played a game with herself. She tried to make herself as lost as possibly before she tried to find her way to a certain destination. She wove in and out of corridors and staircases. When she couldn’t immediately recognize where she was, she decided she was lost enough. Verity peered down one corridor for a bit, trying to decide if that was the path she should take or not.
