"Okay, but I'd bet a galleon you wouldn't be so touchy about it if you had someone to vent to that wasn't paid to listen," Keith said. He wondered if it was possible to help Rowan, even if he knew there really was no helping those that didn't want to be helped. "I mean, sometimes people actually want to listen, when they like someone and consider them a friend."

Rowan got pissed all over again at that. "No, actually, it wouldn't," he bit out. "I don't give a flying f~ whether Kane likes me, and at this point I don't care if you like me. There's a hell of a lot less worry knowing I'm gettting good, objective advice that isn't getting tainted by someone else's emotions and ulterior motives. You can keep your bloody Galleon and get your nosy arse out of my office! I'm going where I don't have to deal with anyone else's prying attempts to make me someone I'm not!" He was going home, and his calming potion could be damned!

Keith shook his head, "Whatever, I'm not trying to make you someone you're not." At least, he didn't think he was, anyway. He was just trying to draw Rowan out from behind this weird wall he had. "Sorry, I'll leave you alone." He shook his head again and turned to walk out, holding his hands out as if to free him from responsibility.

That man was infuriating! Rowan didn't call after him this time, but let him go, shaking with anger. This was why he didn't need friends! Things like this never happened with Kane! He was going directly home and putting up a silencing spell on the door so no one could disturb him!

He rubbed at his chest, which was already tightening, making it harder to breathe, and told himself to calm down. He didn't need another attack, and especially over something so stupid. The thought did little to help, and he made his way to the hospital wing after all, then home.
