Michael licked his lips and looked away from Storm, then ran a hand through his hair. He sighed heavily, still debating up until the very moment the soft okay came from his lips. "Okay," he said again, looking up at her. "I miss...having someone to talk to." He had Dare, yes, but it was always nice to have someone else. Eros was nice, but Michael couldn't help but feel like his past hung over him when he spoke with Eros.

Storm wanted to wrap her arms around Michael at that moment, tell him how sorry she was be the good friend he was to her, but she would take this one step at a time. His okay somewhat confused her, was he confirming a thought in his head, or was he really going to give her a second chance "I missed having someone to talk to too." recently, she had no one. Solitude was her only companion and she grew sick of it. Storm, more than anything, wanted to patch up her friendship with Michael. Storm gave him a weak smile, she wanted to be in his life again... Storm wanted to be Michaels friend once more and maybe even form a good friendship with his spouse Dare.

Michael nodded. "Do you want to walk with me?" he asked, gesturing. "I was heading home." They could catch up, even if she didn't actually come into the tower with him this time. There was so much to catch up on. He forced his hand to drop from his stomach, though it would probably end up right back where it had been resting before long. It was a habit he had gotten into when he was thinking.

Storm was surprised at his suggestion. "I would love to." she came to stand just beside him, he still easily towered over her and now that he was closer, she noticed that there was something very different about him, but she couldn't tell. His hair hadn't changed in length, features still the same. It was starting to annoy her, but she wouldn't ask it was probably just a figment of her imagination.
Storm was glad she had an opportunity to talk to Michael, would it be the same as before? Or with their history, would it be more uncomfortable? No, Storm would never feel uncomfortable around Michael; something about him always kept her at ease.

"So what have you been doing since you left?" Michael asked as they started walking. What had been so important that she had disappeared for so long? And what had brought her back? Was she going to leave again soon? He didn't need to think like that, but his thoughts couldn't help but feel defensive when thinking of the possibility of her staying.
