Mano sighed and nodded. At least Eros was staying. He had no idea how this was going to turn out, but at least he wouldn't be alone for whatever it was. He poured drinks and handed them out. He would play peace keeper if he had to. It didn't' seem like he had much choice other than to do so.

Emilian did want Adara back, in a way. He wasn't sure that he wanted to give up this chance to go out and do whatever he wanted, though. Nearly three years of his life, and it was gone, wasted, if nothing else, he was mourning that and the loss of something that had been a staple of his life for too long not to have an effect. "My apologies, Eros," he said, taking a little bow. "Thank you kindly for your visit." He flicked a glance over at Mano before he took his seat on the couch again.

"Indeed," Eros said dryly. He went to pour himself a drink, then found a chair to relax in, not at all pleased with his decision. He was staying for Mano, not for Emilian, no matter that he'd come for Emilian in the first place. "The mood in this room is abominable," he said. "Come now, between the three of us there must be some pleasant small talk to entertain ourselves with."

Any small talk Mano could think of involved subjects which would get a rise from Emilian. Adara, Michael, and Dare were all out of the question. "You know, Eros," he said, latching onto something that would pull the conversation away from anything even vaguely involving Emilian. "Lyric was released some time ago, and I haven't heard of anything happening with him, you wouldn't happen to know anything, would you?" It was a long shot, but Eros knew Jory and surely the conversation could live a little longer.

It was Emilian's turn to remain silent now, as he knew nothing of any person named Lyric. What an odd name, he thought absently. He didn't know what Mano was talking about, but at least no one was on his tail about the way he was acting. Well, for now.

"The boy with the wild hair?" Eros asked, though he knew quite well who Mano was asking about. "Yes, actually. He's being escorted about by prefects, most often Jory, and has remained, to my knowledge, out of trouble. Rather a quiet, unassuming thing now, appearance aside." And who would have guessed such a thing?

"I would love to see him again," Mano said. "I'd imagine he isn't allowed off school grounds, if they're keeping half as tight a leash on him there as they did at that horrible muggle place." He would like to see if Lyric had changed any, just the chance to talk to him freely would be nice enough.

"I'm really out of the loop that much?" Emilian said, then shook his head and took a long drink. He didn't know either of the names that were mentioned. How had he gotten so out of sync with what was happening? Although, it seemed like the two were students, and he wasn't exactly allowed up at the school, but he at least used to get information from the others.

"Sadly, yes," Eros said. "When was the last time you picked up the Daily Prophet? Even aside from the return of your name to its hallowed pages, it can be somewhat enlightening." If one knew how much to believe and how much to dismiss as garbage, that was.

"If it wasn't for the Prophet, we wouldn't have had any idea that something had happened with you," Mano said. He wouldn't press for why Emilian hadn't told them, it was probably not the best thing to bring up. "It's the easiest way to keep up with what's happening, even if you do have to pick it apart, that is."

"I read it when I have the time," Emilian said, wrinkling his nose. "Just not the past couple of issues." And apparently the most recent one. He probably didn't want to read what they had written about him, anyway. He propped his feet up on the coffee table, crossing one ankle over the other.
