The Russian bloke had told Robbie where to find him, but that wasn't really why he was here. Yeah, he'd thought another turn would make for a good time, but rarely went looking for people. No, one of his piercings had gone wonky in a barfight, and he'd thought he may as well come here as anywhere else.
Bruising paste had gotten rid of the signs, though not without a stern look from the bird in the hospital wing. She hadn't taken any crap from him, but she'd got him fixed up.
He pushed open the door and walked into the shop, then gave a low whistle at what he saw. The place was posh, and he suddenly wondered if he had the bread for any of it.

Even if Emilian had told the guy where to find him, it was still a surprise to see him walking through the door. "Wasn't expecting to see you here," he greeted. He hadn't been having the best time, trying to figure out whether or not to tell Adara what had happened. He had about decided to just forget it and do whatever he wanted, it wasn't like she'd ever find out unless he told her.

"Stranger things have happened," Robbie said offhandedly. "I'm just up the frog at Hogwarts now, thought I'd pop in and see what the talk's about. And I need one of these." Robbie stepped up to the counter and dropped his mangled piercing on the counter. "Got roughed up a bit, though I gave as good as got. Still, not much for transfiguration, thought I'd just replace it. Do you carry these?"

"I carry just about anything," Emilian said, taking a glance at the piece before pushing away from the counter to head over to the display that held everything. "The hell the guy do to do that?" he asked, glancing back over at the counter as he opened the case. What kind of fight ended with mangled jewelry? Well, he supposed if someone wore as much as Robbie did, there was plenty of opportunity.

"Caught me having a bit of fun with his bird and didn't take it well when I invited him to join in," he said with a shrug. "I reckon it was the alarm clock, but can't be sure, made a right dog's dinner of the room before I got out. Knew she had a bloke, but he was a bit larger than she'd made him out to be."

Emilian grinned and shook his head. He was generally careful about that kind of thing, not that he really cared all too much about breaking bonds or any of that jazz. "Don't do it where the guy can find you," he said, shrugging. "Simple as that." He knew it wasn't always that easy, but it was fun to pick, and it took his mind off other things. "Was she worth it?"

"Oh, 'ell yes," Robbie said. "If I'd known her bloke had a key I'd still have done it, just been a bit faster about getting my trousers back on." He knew how it was done, but now and then a girl lied about the chances of getting caught, or about having a boyfriend at all. Once or twice he thought he'd been an excuse to break up. He shrugged and looked at the jewellery. "That one there," he said, pointing.

Emilian pulled it out and handed it to Robbie, giving the price as he did so. "You just dropping by or you want to head up for a drink?" If all he got out of the deal was a good buzz, he'd be more than happy. It wasn't like Adara was supposed to be back any time soon, didn't she have a thing going on right now? He couldn't remember, it was near impossible to keep up with the head girl schedule anymore.

Robbie poked through his money pouch and handed over the right amount. "Yeah, I reckon I could stand a bevvy or two," he said. "You have any of that vodka you were on about?" It wasn't like he had anything much to do, and if he did get pissed, he could have a good time with Emilian, or he could wave down the Knight Bus and go to London.

"And then some," Emilian answered, turning to put the money away. He pulled out his wand and flicked the shop's sign to closed and gestured for Robbie to follow. "Got a little bit of a lot," he said. "Couple bottles of the good stuff, though. Real stuff, not the junk they make here." So not all of it was crap, but nothing was better than the original.

"Right on," Robbie said. He tucked his purchase into his pocket and followed after Emilian. "I'm not picky, but it's good to have the real thing now and then." He didn't check out his surroundings too much as they crossed the shop, just enough to be sure of where the exits were, which was more habit than anything.

If Adara thought it strange that the shop was closed so early, she put the thought aside. Perhaps he had simply wished to retire early. Whatever the reason, she let herself in and closed the door quietly behind her, pushing back the hood of her light autumn cloak as she made her way toward the stairs. magikal05.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=gotopost&board=jbedroom&thread=6524&post=117097Adara's delicately-heeled boots clacked down the stairs, her usual calm broken entirely. She didn't acknowledge the tears streaming down her cheeks, but only tried to catch her breath, leaning against the nearest sturdy surface as dizziness threatened. This was so much infinitely worse than the last time. She couldn't accept it.

"Adara!" Emilian said, still stumbling out through the store. He came up to her, barely in his pants, uncaring that he hadn't put on shoes, or that there were spots obvious even on his slightly darker skin, or even that his breath still carried hints of the drinks he had had. "Adara..." he said again as he stopped in front of her, though he was completely at a loss as to what to say.

As difficult as it was, Adara straightened, struggling to fight the safe place she wanted to escape to. "Nein!" she choked. "Ich möchte nicht hören, was Sie sagen! Ich dachte, dass Sie mich liebten! Ich liebte Sie!" She stumbled slightly as she stepped back, hardly able to look at him. "Leave me alone!"
