Like she had anything better to do. After a long summer, one she extended by leaving the school early, Celyn had returning knowing that she had to keep her promise. Her parents had let her leave under one condition, that she would try in her classes this year. At first, it seemed like a fair trade, but with classes starting, she wanted nothing better than to violently ram her head into a wall and not have to attend the first week.
It was fairly pathetic that she would go so far just to avoid classes, but the fact of the matter was that she never liked having to try. It wasn't like she was aspiring to be a healer or some other grandiose job that required pouring endlessly into her books and working hard to make sure classwork and homework was close to perfect. If she wanted to get such jobs, she could always just go to work with her dad and actually see what healers had to deal with. The weather was nice, too bad her sketchbook was up in her dorm or else she could have settled down to draw.
Walking up to the large boulders lining the lake, she stood on one and went from one to the other a light spring in her step. Turning around to look, there was no one at the lake, probably everyone was too busy eating lunch. Looking back at the boulders she jumped from one to the other, at one point almost slipping off which would have meant falling into the river, but in the last minute she caught herself. Starting again she continued to jump, skip and hop from one boulder to the other. At first she giggled softly to herself and then it changed to childish laughter; she was thoroughly enjoying herself.
