Vannah's eyes moved from the girl to Ryan. She saw something slide down his cheek and although she wasn't up close and personal enough to see what it really was, she had a pretty good guess. "Oh, Ryan..." She said with just sadness. She wished he wouldn't cry so much. It made her feel so helpless. She noticed the girl was still there out of the corner of her eye. Vannah turned her head, once again, to look at the girl questioningly. If she was going to go, then why wasn't she going? That was when Vannah noticed the look on the girl's face. She looked from the girl to Ryan, back to the girl, back to Ryan, then to the girl again, and finally to Ryan once more. Her eyes widened as she read into what may have happened. Or an idea of what may have happened. Vannah pulled his hand away from Ryan's. "Ryan." She said somberly. "Do you know that girl?" She asked in a low voice, soft enough for her to hopefully not hear.

Ryan looked at Vannah "Somewhat" he said softly and vaguely. It had only been one day, but a lot had happened in that day. He didn't want anything to happen, but he had a really bad feeling that something bad was going to happen.

It was quiet enough with the complete lack of motion and nervous tension in the clearing that Brindle was just able to hear Ryan's softly spoken reply. Somewhat. Maybe it was true. He knew where she was from, who her friends were, but most of their conversation had been pretty compliments and kissing. She'd been so stupid to think it was more! But he called you sweetie! It was flimsy at best.
Brindle could feel that threatening heat prickle at the bridge of her nose again, and decided she wasn't just going to stand here and be miserable, stare like some dumb boy-crazy girl who couldn't get over her first kiss, no matter how true that felt. Her eyebrows drew together as she tried to stifle sadness and disappointment with anger, and she turned to storm off over the grass.

"Wait!" Vannah called out to the girl. "Don't go." She was confused and had a burning curiosity to know what exactly was going on. Vannah's eyes fell to the hand that still held Ryan's and she pulled it away sharply. The girl was acting very odd, but then again Ryan was too. The tension in the air was so thick you couldn't cut it with a knife. The emotions written all over the girl's face were remarkably readable. Vannah's eyes narrowed and her brows drew together. "Ryan, how do you know her?" She asked again in so many words. It was obvious that he knew here a little more than somewhat. Vannah also knew what Ryan was capable of. "What did you do to her?" She hissed.

((Thought I would spice this up and bring out a side of Ryan that hasn't come up before. Hope you two can work with it )) Ryan looked at Vannah, mad at the accusation "I didn't DO anything to her damnit!" This was the last straw. He was tired of being treated like a bad person. "I AM TIRED OF PEOPLE THINKING THAT I AM A BAD PERSON. WE MET HERE ONE DAY, WE TALKED, WE MADE OUT, AND THEN WE HAVEN'T SEEN EACH OTHER SINCE. THAT'S ####ING IT!" He yelled. He didn't know where it came from, but when he finished he turned around a walked a few steps away like he was going to leave, but then just fell to his knees as tears streamed down his face.

Vannah stood up, brushed the dirt off of her clothes, and folded her arms over her chest. Her eyes narrowed at him, shooting icy daggers right in his direction. "Gawd, it's like I don't even know you anymore." Vannah said shaking her head a little. She stepped past him and turned around sharply. "You better get some things straightened out, Ryan." She said giving him one last pathetic look before walking off. It was obvious that the girl thought that maybe there was more to the story and Vannah had never seen Ryan act that way. So...mean.
