Jory had stayed locked up in his dorm for the first couple of days after the party, feeling drained physically and emotionally from the experience. He had done a lot of thinking, though he still wasn't quite sure what he wanted to do, no matter Eros' helpful words. He wanted to find someone to be with, but he wasn't at all sure if he wanted to remain celibate until then. And even if he decided not to be there were questions. Was he okay with being kicked out immediately after? Or did he want a friends-with-benefits type of thing only? It was all so much to think of. It was so much easier before he had slept with Lyric.
Now he was hoping that swimming would help somehow. At least it would let him focus on something other than the thoughts running through his head. He didn't care if someone would see him, with his belly button piercing and his tattoo on the back of his shoulder, and he was in the process of stripping down to his swimming trunks and putting his clothes away in the hopes they would still be there when he returned.

On her way to the school, Cammy had caught a glimpse of a beautiful lake. She hadn't seen an actual pool yet, so she assumed the lake was where all the swimming took place. It took her a little while but she eventually found her new bikini and wrapped herself in a towel and made the decision to walk over there. After a little time spent getting lost - though she would never admit it - she caught sight of the shimmering blueness of the water. She smiled, running her hand through her blonde hair and walking closer to the water.

Jory barely noticed the girl that came down to the lake. He wouldn't really call the color blue, it was a lake, probably a dirty lake, so maybe he would say navy, though that was still pushing it. More greenish, wasn't it? He stood after putting all his clothes in his bag and tying it up tight and debated whether or not he should carry his wand with him. Surely it would be safe here with his things, wouldn't it?

Well, the closer Cammy got to the lake, the more unappealing it became. Soon she just decided to lay out and sun bathe for a while. It never hurt to deepen her tan some more. She got to a nice sunny spot and laid out her towel. As she was about to sit, movement from the corner of her eye made her look.
There was another person already here. She turned to look at the person; a boy. Cammy studied him for a moment, it appeared he hadn't noticed her yet. He seemed around her age but something about him seemed older. She squinted her eyes, he did have some sort of tattoo. Cool, she thought as she pondered whether to call out to him yet. He seemed happy to be alone, and she didn't want to disturb him. On the other hand, Cammy knew she ought to meet some people soon.
"Hello," Cammy ended up calling out.

Jory hadn't noticed the feel of eyes on his back, but then, he wasn't used to being stared at with his shirt off, especially when it came to someone he didn't know examining his multicolored shooting stars tattoo. He only turned when he heard a voice, revealing his belly button ring with its little silver star hanging from it. Not that she would be able to see it from far away. "Hi," he said, putting on more friendly than he really felt right now.

When the guy turned, something by his stomach sparkled with the glare from the sun but Cammy didn't think anything of it. "Nice day. I'm glad I'm not the only one enjoying it," She called back. It was summer, and yet there were almost no people outside. Well, at least, no one that she had seen on the walk over here. There was still a whole, huge campus of Hogwarts she hadn't seen yet.

"Yeah," Jory said, nodding and glancing back at his things. After a few moments he slid his wand in with them and took a few steps closer to the girl. "I've been up in the dorm for the past couple days, figured I should get out a little today." Normally he would have just waited until the night and headed up to the Astronomy tower, but he had figured that a change wouldn't be all too bad.

Cammy nodded her head in acknowledgement. "Yeah, I've been cooped up in my dorm unpacking and suck. It's nice to get away for a bit." Plus, this had given her the chance to go someplace and wander around the school without looking like a new student with nothing to do.

Jory shrugged, "It never bothers me to stay in the dorm, but I normally get out at least once a day. Most of the time I come out at night, though." It was rare he did it during the day. He wasn't exactly a lover of swimming, this entire outing had been on a whim, something he had just had a sudden craving for since he hadn't been in water in so long.

Cammy looked at the guy. Who only wants to come out at night? Totally wasting daylight! She knew she had some sort of odd expression on her face, so to cover she quickly said, "Why only at night? Doesn't that, like I don't know, get boring? What is there to do inside?" Maybe it was because she was new, but she couldn't possible imagine staying inside all day.

"Oh, I go to the Astronomy Tower," Jory answered, as though it was obvious. "I really like stars." That was probably an understatement, but he did love them so much. "And they're different at different times of the year." It was nice. It was something predictable, even though it changed a lot over the year. There were always things that were the same, no matter what else changed.

Oh well that made sense actually, so Cammy said, "Oh, that makes sense. The Astronomy teacher doesn't mind?" Back at her old school, the teachers seemed to encourage students to stay as far away as possible, which really wasn't too hard considering no one would have wanted to be by them anyway. But then again, that was then and this was now. She still had a lot of adjusting to do here.

Jory shook his head. He took a glance around and then sat next to the girl, crossing his legs. "No, she doesn't care at all. I'm the only one that ever goes up there, anyway." There had been the time Jamie had found him up there, and he knew Lyric had been up there, but if anyone went up there regularly he surely would have seen them during his many visits.

Cammy thought that was pretty cool, the kid had a place all to himself for the most part. As he sat down she could see what had been glaring from the sun, a belly button ring with a star. Instead of wondering why a guy would have a belly button ring, her thoughts went straight towards jelousy - her daddy insisted that she not get anything but her ears pierced even if she had the perfect stomach for a piercing there. "That must be really nice," She said, refocusing on the guy, "Plus it must be cool to hang there with your friends or your girlfriend or something. My old school would've never tolerated students hanging in or by the classrooms."

Jory had noticed her eyes focusing on his belly button and his hand went to it. His eyes dropped when she spoke. Girlfriend. His mind went to the rainbow-colored tattoo and his earrings, even his belly button ring, and he wondered if he wasn't as obvious when he was just in swim trunks. "Well," he said, fingering the jewelry. "I don't have a ton of friends, and none of them go up with me, but if I had a boyfriend I'd probably force him to go up there whether he wanted to or not." A smile pulled at his lips as he glanced up at her again as he thought of the possibility, and only vaguely wondered what she would say.
