Willow grinned, "do you think the greats were never nervous. They all were. They did it anyways." She raised her pear as though in cheer, "I'll even agree to show something for you if you want." Her eyes twinkled as she thought about the fun that would be on her end as well. Not something she would normally do, just something that showed up.

"Really?" Verity asked and as usual she was getting ahead of herself. "That would be great! I know some other people I could get to." She would ask Celyn and Jamie and Leo. Surely there were other people in the school that could help out. All Verity could see know was the end picture: the big show, the gratification she would get from doing something so outrageous, the smiles on everyone's faces. It would be so great. Unfortunately that's all she could really imagine and she just kind of glazed over everything else: all the work she would have to do, the fabrics she would need to acquire, the cost, not to mention the permission she would need to get before starting.

Willow nodded "really. Maybe Dare would be willing to participate too." Not that she'd seen much of him, he hadn't shown up for the tower climb, and she'd been busy too. She'd heard something about him being sick, possibly, he wasn't even in classes for a while, but that might not be infrequent. He was a married man after all, things must get more complicated at that point.

Verity tilted her head to the side. "Dare?" She questioned the unfamiliar name and wondered if she was instead talking about some sort of game or even a spell. She didn't have the slightest clue what Dare was, but if it helped then why not use it? "I know of a few I could try to recruit. There's Celyn, Jamie, and Leo." It would probably take some convincing with Jamie and she hoped she would be able to coerce Leo into doing it. She was almost certain Celyn wouldn't mind helping out.

Willow arched her eyebrow in an almost catty way at the sound of the name Celyn. Seriously, "Celyn," not that she knew of Celyn outside of the two or three interactions, but none of it had been good. The girl obviously liked her though, so how could she spin it in a way that wasn't so harshly lit. "Oddly enough, she's part of the reason I'm dating my boyfriend."

Verity's eyes grew wide in surprise. "Really?" Something about that declaration didn't seem right. "I never took her to be a match maker." Well, not in real life. There was something about a dream that started off with Celyn convincing Verity to swear off all guys. It had an odd ending, but it was also just a dream. As Verity glanced at Willow, she noticed something about her expression that she must have missed in her tone. Verity raised her eyebrows questioningly. It definitely seemed like there was more to the story.

Willow tilted her head, wondering how to phrase that, "she's not really. My boyfriend's name is Silver," ironic really, or perfect depending on how you looked at it, because of the color of her hair. "Have you heard this quote? 'What's wrong with me? It's like I want you when I can't have you, and now that I can have you, I don't want you.' " She shook her head, "something like that."
Willow let out a loose laugh, "I don't know all the details, but apparently Silver kissed me after he kissed her. But we weren't dating yet, and Celyn thought we were." Willow shook her head, "she crushed me off as though she owned him," a shudder ran through her, "and from the looks of it she didn't go easy on him. A couple of weeks later, Silver and I were officially dating."

Verity's face showed nothing but surprise. This was all news to her. Her lips twitched upward and spread into a grin. She couldn't help but let out a little laugh. Celyn had only ever been a good friend to Verity, although she could imagine how Celyn would react when she got pissed off. It wasn't something Verity wanted to try and to experience herself. "Maybe she's changed.' Verity only knew her for a couple of months and it was possible. It was also possible that there was more to Celyn than she realized.

Willow shrugged, "maybe. I can't say that I've run into her again. We didn't end on good terms." Willow's lips twitched, "I believe I used a quote to insult her before I walked away." She let the residual resentment roll off her shoulders, and smiled. "That makes me sound like a bad guy. I swear, I only get into fights that involve quotes and books." She bit into her pear again, "and maybe really hot brooding guys."

Verity popped some more food in her mouth. The nagging voice in her head warned her to watch. She didn't want lose control like last time. Her grumbling stomach overruled the nagging voice in her head and she continued to eat anyways. "I try not to get into too many fights." Verity said. "Although, as hard as I try it doesn't seem to work." Not that she had been in a whole lot of full-blown fights at Hogwarts. They were more like arguments, really.

Willows eyes danced with mirth, "I try to remember, 'The best way to destroy an enemy is to make him a friend.'" Setting her core down she sighed, "in truth she is the only person that I have ever truly not liked. Maybe that's because I ended up with Silver, but I didn't mean to steal him. I wish that we could come to an understanding. I hate fighting, life is much to short."

Verity's first thought was that she could talk to Celyn, but she hated getting in the middle of things. Usually if she did it just ended up with everyone storming off in separate directions. She chewed on her bottom lip. "Maybe it would work to talk to her again. I mean, it seems like you've both had time to step back and re-evaluate the situation. I'm sure she's moved on by now." Verity said even though she wasn't all that sure considering Celyn never brought it up.

Willow's lips twitched, "have you ever met Silver?" Maybe most people wouldn't notice, but for Willow he stood out above other guys. His gorgeous eyes, she was never sure exactly what shade they were. The tumble of his hair, something to hide behind, but to her it was so much more. She let her twitch turn into a full smile, "I don't mind talking to her again. Especially if it means I get to wear new clothes."

"No, I don't think so." Verity said trying to remember. The name didn't ring a bell and she couldn't seem to place it with a face. "But I've only been here for a few months, there are a lot of people I haven't met." It really felt a lot longer than a few months. Verity grinned she had almost forgotten about their fashion show. "You could wear them either way. I wouldn't make you guys talk in order to be in the show. As long as there isn't blood on my clothes and no one's hurt." That would be something they would need to work out on their own.

Willow's nose wrinkled "A scholar's ink lasts longer than a martyr's blood." Plus it smelled. "If you had met Silver you would remember him. He stands out in classes." As a top student, not as a standout individually. She would have noticed him a mile away, a dark champion raising from the mists...or staring at her from behind trees.
