[/img] Pie Toss!
*All proceeds are being donated to Hogwarts' Hospital Wing* Jamie felt like an idiot as he stood behind the pie-throwing stand. He had only been talked into doing this because it was for a good cause. Why not? It was only a bit of fun, right? On a table a few feet in front of him were a row of pies. There were different kinds, mostly some form of creme pie. At least he would get some pie, he reminded himself. Behind him was a wall to block the pies from whizzing past him and onto the field or some poor toddler passing by. He folded his arms and leaned against the wall, waiting for the first person to come and try their luck.

Verity had come to the fair to meet Leo. She had been coming to the fair, at least for the little bit of time she could escape the Three Broomsticks, since the first day it had opened. In her quest to find him, however, she found Jamie. What was he doing? She squinted her eyes from afar before realizing a giant sign over his head. Pie Toss, is what it read. "No way..." She muttered to herself as a wicked grin spread across her face. This was a great idea and whoever thought of it was obviously a genius.
As Verity walked towards the booth, she masked her wicked grin with a look of innocence. Her eyes focused on the pies before meeting his. "Jamie?" She asked surprised. "What are you doing?" She didn't quite understand why he was standing on the other side of the booth, not that she was complaining.

Jamie had spotted Verity before she started walking over. That was when he let his eyes trail over her slowly. In fact, he didn’t even realize she was getting closer until she was right in front of him. He studied her face for a moment. He could’ve sworn she had a totally different expression on a minute ago. He raised his eyes expectantly when he heard his name being called and then lowered them when she posed the question What are you doing? He honestly had no idea. Jamie shrugged and mumbled something about being for a good cause. He hadn’t seen her in a couple of weeks. Not since that night at the Three Broomsticks. “You look good, Ver.” He said with a small smile. Of course she did, she always looked good.

Verity rolled her eyes at the compliment. "Thanks." She said with a soft sigh. It wasn't that she was ungrateful, just unsure of how to deal with Jamie. He was a nice friend, handy with the tools when something at the shop went wrong, but to her he was only a friend. Even if he didn't think so. After all, she was perfectly happy with Leo. Verity's eyes drifted towards the assortment of pies in front of her. Well, maybe she did know a way to handle him. She reached into her clutch and placed a sickle on the counter in front of her. She was nearly jumping up and down in excitement. This was perfect! Verity eyed the pies before choosing a triple chocolate mousse pie that look far too good to throw. She stared at the pie longingly for a moment debating whether or not she should just use the Confundus on him and take the pie for herself. Verity heaved a sigh and said goodbye to the pie before hurling it right at Jamie. Well, there was a good reason she hardly threw anything seeing as the pie dropped before it actually reached Jamie and ended up only splattering onto his shoes a bit. Verity's face fell and her cheeks turned pink from embarrassment. Her eyes immediately fell to the ground.
