Lily was always looking for a good book. She just loved the feeling of losing herself in the pages and feeling absolutely scarred when she finds out that Sunset fell for Jeffery and then they found out there loved was never meant to be, unlike Romeo and Juliet. Oh Romeo and Juliet, a love classic. Lily wasn't really sure what Romeo and Juliet had to do with wizardry, but she would probably score some points with some kids doing muggle studies. Lily was muggle-born after all.
Lily panned the rows of bookshelves, skimmed the books that flew overhead. She grimaced, she had practically already read most of these books. That weren't in the restricted section. Lily breathed in and out, she had never ventured into the restricted section before. Well maybe now it was time for change.

Sammy had gotten permission from Professor Snape to use the restricted section for some research. Sammy perused the shelves looking for something on noxious poisons. This is was only for Madame Pince's benefit however. What Sammy was really looking for was instructions on how to make Felix Felisis, the luck potion.
She had heard about it and she was itching to try it out. It was a very high level potion and if brewed incorrectly it could cause horrendous damage to the drinker and was toxic in large amounts but when made correctly it granted the greatest luck the drinker. Most people wouldn't think a second year could do it so she was relatively safe from suspicions but Sammy had a gift with potions and she also had the key to Snape's private stores if she so needed.
Supposedly you learned to make it in the sixth year but she didn't want to wait that long. Sammy pulled down a book at random from the chained shelves and wiped the dust and cobwebs off of it.
When Sammy opened the book it screamed at her. She dropped it her ears ringing. The book lay open on the ground and she could very clearly see from the contents that it contained gruesome spells. Not the kind of book she was looking for. She picked it up and put it back on the shelf as she resumed her looking.

OOC: you do realize its on now?! ^.^ jk. you are such the Harry Potter nerd. xD IC: Lily felt a little guilty entering the Restricted section, hesitant even. But the door was open, wide. And that, to Lily was like destiny calling her. "Lily, c'mon do it Lily. You know you wanna." Of course she "wanna" who wouldn't? Lily didn't want this all mighty "goody two shoes" label of the Gryffindors to reign on forever; it was old to Lily and Lily was sick of it.
It appeared like no one else was in the Restricted section, and for that Lily was relieved. She didn't want to be ratted out or found. She just wanted to hide out for a while until she found something suitable enough to read and then leave.
Suddenly she heard a sneeze. A tiny sneeze if anything, but still a sneeze. Lily looked around as she tried to recover from a heart attack, and there in the corner, almost blending into the surroundings of the old musty bookshelves was a Slytherin girl.
Lily approached her like she would a puppy, hoping the girl would not bite her or hiss at her.
"Hello, what are you doing here?"

OOC: I love Harry Potter and this is a Harry Potter RPG so if you don't like then you'll have to go elsewhere! And you didn't mention the screaming book! How do you not mention the screaming book?! I sneezed? I sneezed! Wow... just wow... ^-^
IC: "Hello, what are you doing here?" Sammy heard someone say and nearly dropped the non-screaming book she had just picked up.
Glancing around Sammy saw it was an older Griffindor girl. The Slytherins and Griffindors didn't get along well on principle but this girl despite being older than she was seemed to be kindly enough and a little worried about talking to her.
Her sister had told her to be friendly this year so she would try even if it was a Griffindor.
"Looking for a book for Potions," Sammy replied, "What are you doing?"

OOC: you know what I'm tired of your shenanigans! xD and i didn't mention the screaming book dang it i love that thing! yes you sneezed deal with it. xD IC: Lily got a closer look of the little Slytherin girl: small. Black hair, most of it covering her face, nervous but determined...this girl could almost be Lily's clone! Except Lily was older and a Gryffindor. But this girl couldn't possibly mean any harm...could she?
"Well I was heading to the bathroom but i guess i got lost." Lily joked around, laughing at herself. "Actually i'm being naughty but don't tell the others. What kind of potion are you looking for?"

Naturally suspicious Sammy suspected her of alterior motives for asking this. She half consciously brushed her hand over concealed dagger. Then she remembered she was supposed to be being friendly.
"I'm just doing research for a paper on a luck potion," Sammy said nonchalantly while glancing at the index of the book and not finding anything that would help her, "I won't say anything but why are you here if you're not supposed to be?"

Lily eyed the books the same time the little Slytherin girl did. There wasn't much on the shelves, she would have to dig to find anything good.
"I'm tired of being 'a good girl'. No one likes goody two shoes. That's what Gryffindors are bred for aren't they?" Lily was unexpectedly whiny, wasn't she the older, more mature girl? But still it wasn't fair to be trapped in someone's footprints that you didn't want to be in in the first place.

Sammy was a little surprised to hear that from a Gryffindor but she still pointed out, "Gryffindors are bred to be 'the bravest and the noblest' so I guess 'goody two shoes' isn't far off the mark there. But they are some really... Well let's just say some of your house act like they should be in Slytherin some of the time," Sammy flipped a few pages of the book and saw the dirty pages were full of illustrations almost too unpleasant to name.
"And if you're looking to be a bad girl I wouldn't start in a section where the books scream at you and the rest hold things like this," Sammy opened the book she was holding to a page with gruesome illustrations of people in terrible pain partway between mutant slugs and decapitated cows.

'Bred to be brave and noble' Wow, way to be accurate. This girl was highly sophisticated for a little kid, too.
"The 'great' Harry Potter is a very 'brave and noble' person, not me. I'm more of a timid, smart person. I wanted to be put into Ravenclaw but The Sorting Hat thought i'd be more suited to Gryffindor. Not that i mind, the portraits in the Common Room are very friendly."
She eyed the girl as she thumbed a book. "Well, most of these books stink anyway." She looked away as the girl showed her the contents of the book. "And maybe you're right, so let's have some real fun. You know what i mean? Where do you think we should start?"

"Well it is the restricted section after all. What were you hoping for? Muggle comic books?" Sammy said slightly annoyed putting the book back and picking up another
"And maybe you're right," said the girl "so let's have some real fun. You know what i mean? Where do you think we should start?"
"Fun? What did you have in mind?" Sammy asked looking through the contents of the book and not finding the potion she was looking for. This search was getting tedious but it would be all worth it in the end.

Lily rolled her eyes. She wasn't going to take this girl's sarcasm. "Well," She said. "Usually Muggles pull harmless pranks. You seem smart. Help me pull a prank I'll help you find what you're looking for."

That was a tempting idea but Sammy really wanted to find the instructions for brewing Felix Felisis and with a delinquent in the restricted section and only so many times she could get permission into the restricted section Sammy was not sure she really had the time to play with this Gryffindor.
"Well," Sammy said slowly pulling down another book, "What kind of prank are you thinking of? And who on?"
She had to see if this was worth the time at the very least.

Lily cocked an eyebrow at the Slytherin; was this girl for real? Hadn't she ever wanted to feel the rush of adrenaline that misbehaving brought to other kids? If she wanted the little girl to help her, she'd have to negotiate and do what the little girl wanted to do first.
"I'll make you a deal, I'll help you with your potions assignment if you help me pull a prank. So what are you looking for anyway?"

Sammy tried not to show how tense she got at that question. It's just supposed to be an assignment. Nothing more. Sammy reminded herself but she was too suspicious of anyone to actually believe that the girl wasn't trying to figure out what she was really doing.
"Just tell me what you're planning and I'll decide if I think it's worth my time or not." Sammy said trying to keep the irritation and tension out of her voice as she put the useless book back. The next one she picked up had a severly burned cover and soggy greenish pages so it was hard to make out the words on the pages. When she managed to read them she grimmaced. That was disgusting.

Lily stepped up so she was close enough to breathe in the girl's ear. "I want to rig the boy's lavatory. Nothing special really, but don't you think that would be hilarious?"
The girl looked so unamused as Lily watched her thumb through books. What Lily didn't tell her was she was looking in the wrong section and looking in that particular section only revealed stuff that was meant to be discussed later...
