Meeting up again (Zilly/Jory)

Jory had been practically bouncing the past couple of days after the long evening spent with Jamie in the Astronomy tower. Even the insults were barely touching him today, and he hadn't been able to brush them off since he had come out. Today was a good day outside, warm, with just enough of a breeze blowing to keep the air from feeling stuffy, and so he had taken his lunch outside to eat by the lake. He was even wearing his favorite jewelry.

Zilnafa had heard in the papers that Jory had come out to the entire wizarding world (if the Daily Prophet carried that far) and she was so happy for him. She could see him down by the lake where they'd talked before when he'd been so upset.

It was a nice day today. Spring was blooming and there was a soft breeze and it was the first spring Zilnafa had seen in all her life and she was loving it more then she loved winter.

"Jory!" She shouted. He looked happy when she'd pasted him in the hall. And even now it looked like he was beaming. She ran towards him. "Jory!"

Jory heard his name called by a familiar voice, but he didn't quite realize who it was until he heard his name again and finally turned. Any other time, he might not have been so happy to see Zilly, since she had disappeared on him just like Layne had, but he was in such a good mood that he only felt happiness for seeing her. "Zilly!" he shouted, dropping his stuff where he had been getting ready to settle in and running the last little bit to her. "Where have you been?!"

Zilnafa froze at the question. Of course he wouldn't be notcing if she was in the halls. She wouldn't blame him and she was too busy trying to keep up with classes to find him and talk. But that didn't matter because he looked happy and he sounded happy.

His bright blue eyes were alive with joy and he smiling as he ran the finaly distance between them.

She flushed and looked away but recovered and smiled. "Hi. It's been so long." She handed him the chocolates she'd stolen from the kitchen. "Here. I saw the Daily Prophet and I thought you'd want some in celebration."

Jory smiled brightly as he took the chocolate, "Thank you!" He threw an arm around her in a hug before he started leading her to where his stuff lay. "It's been forever since I came out, it's so hard. Like, Layne disappeared on me, me and Lyric haven't been anything since the end of last term, I made Markise mad...." He sighed and shook his head. "What have you been up to?"

"Making new friends." Zilnafa shrugged. She wanted to know what had made Jory so happy. He'd been really afraid to come out before and now he was incredibly happy. "What's made you so happy? I would think you'd be slightly more worried that..." Zilnafa paused. She didn't want to bring up painful memories. It was a day to be happy for him. "That what happened at MI would happen again."

Jory dropped his eyes and shrugged as he found his spot and sat down, legs folded beneath him. "Well, before like, this week it was really bad, like I said. I was, like, getting picked on and tripped and all kinds of stuff. Still am, I guess, just not paying much attention to it the last couple of days." His cheeks flushed as he opened the butterbeer he had managed to snatch from the Great Hall.

Zilnafa frowned at his comment. She didn't like people picking on Jory. Didn't enjoy that at all. But she didn't want to pruse the matter. Jory obviously had something else to tell her. He flushed as he was drinking a Butterbeer.

"I'm sorry it was hard at first." Zilnafa rubbed Jory's shoulder friendly-like. "But I wanna know what's got you so happy now?

Jory bit his lip and then grinned broadly, shaking his head. "I can't tell you his name, because I promised I wouldn't tell anyone who he is, he's definitely not out and doesn't know if he wants to, either." Surely he could talk about Jamie as long as he didn't mention his name, right? It wasn't betraying his trust, and Zilly certainly wouldn't tell anyone about it. "But I really like him." The flush spread to his ears so that it went from the tips of his ears all the way down to disappearing beneath the collar of his shirt.

Zilnafa was so happy for Jory she could dance. And that wouldn't be pretty. But he'd found a boy. Hell a man. A man that made Jory happy. A man that could make Jory flush to the tips of his ears. And for that Zilnafa was incredibly greatful. It was time something wonderful happen to Jory.

In the back of her head though because she was a Slytherin, she was preparing a payback for this mysterious man should he hurt Jory. But she didn't let it affect her mood.

Instead she grabbed Jory and danced him around feeling like a child but the elation she felt too much to restrain. "Tell me all about him, Jory. I wanna know everything."

Jory grinned at Zilly's enthusiasm, but didn't answer immediately. He had to weigh what he would say, he didn't want to give too much away and risk her finding out it was Jamie until he knew it was okay for her to know. "We had a rough start," he said. "But he found me up in the Astronomy Tower night before last and we worked things out." That was as good a place as any to start.

"He's tall and he's got dark hair and blue eyes, he's strong...he's gorgeous." He figured there were probably enough people that matched that, or a similar, description in the school that he didn't have to worry about that. "He's nice, and he's got a great smile. I really like him," he said again. He did, even if they had really only met three times. But they had talked for so long the last couple of times, especially in the Astronomy tower...

Zilnafa smiled as she listened to Jory chatter about the boy. He sounded like he was perfect for Jory. Zilnafa would have to start scouring the school for a boy with dark hair and blue eyes. Some one tall and apparently gorgeous.

"Sorted what out on the Astromny tower?" Zilnafa asked.

Jory shrugged, "Like I said, we had a rough start. He's not sure about coming out, so don't like, go up to someone you think is him and ask, and don't talk about him, please?" He looked up at her, silently begging a little with his eyes. "I don't want him to get mad at me or something because I told you and someone else found out. But anyway, he wasn't sure so he like, ran off the first time we met, and the second time it was okay, then it got, like, awkward. This time it was great, though."

[Zilnafa]

Zilnafa smiled at Jory. "Go up to him? I wouldn't dare. He doesn't even know me so he'd no doubt be startled. Besides you said he wasn't ready to come out. I wouldn't push anyone into anything they wouldn't want to do."

And indeed Zilnafa wasn't going to go up to him. Whoever he was. She was just planning to get a good look at him. Besides if she did go up to him, he might leave Jory and then she'd be pissed.

"So how'd you two meet?"

"Actually, I met him down at the lake," Jory said, grinning. "I had been in the forest and I saw him, I thought he was cute and thought I could get away with getting a better look and he caught me. We talked and....yeah..." He shrugged, opting out of telling the rest of what had happened that night, though the redness of his ears probably gave at least a little of it away.
