Xavier kept pouting. His nose hurt less now, but she'd still hurt his feelings. He didn't know if her smile helped.

"I didn't tell you to go beat the guy up, but you didn't have to be rude to my brother," Xander said. Maybe they would go to the headmistress and maybe he'd also say how rude the nurse was.

"Brusque is not rude. Brusque is what is needed to make sure patients do not pity themselves. Determination is the best ward against pain. Besides, I am sure in about two minutes of walking out of this door you will forget my infraction." She set her wand down, "can you tell me how tender it is still?" She'd have to gauge what salve to give him depending on that.

Xander didn't know what brusque was, but it sounded rude. "It didn't help my brother, so it didn't work," he said.

Xavier felt worse now. She thought he was feeling sorry for himself? Didn't he deserve to? "I'm fine." he said.

"Alright, you are fine. Then I will not need to give you the salves from the back." She titled her head, "strangely easier than most students. Maybe I did not need to be brusque." She shrugged, "I am not the counselor though, I heal you. You stay out of trouble, if not, I will see you again." She tossed her loose hair behind her head, "I do not have feelings. Feel free to spread it around, maybe if the students fear me, they will think twice before misbehaving."

"We didn't do anything!" Xander said. "And if you have medicine get him the medicine!" He looked at his brother. The innocent act wasn't getting him anywhere.

Xavier glared at his brother. Then he looked at the boy with the hair. He looked pathetic. Maybe she'd told him off too.

Katia's brow raised, "Alright, I will get you the medication. As long as you promise to tell every student you meet how haggish and unreasonable I am. I have a reputation to keep up as well you know." She turned and walked away, sparing a glance for the boy on the other bed, an apologetic one, as she headed to the back to get the salve for the boy's nose, and a file to start for them.

Dare had been waiting long enough. He decided he'd just come back later. These guys obviously weren't going to give up any time soon. He grabbed his bag and stood, ignoring the two as he headed for the door and back out into the castle. Maybe he'd call into work and do it after class.

Xavier was glad the nurse was going to get him something. He glared at his brother, ignoring the tall guy for now.

"Someone had to say something," Xander told his brother. He watched the tall guy leave. "Parade next time?" he asked.

When Katia came back, a mild salve in hand that would minimize pain, reduce swelling, and mask bruising. Her gaze swung to where Dare had been moments before, and then back to them. She thought about making a comment, but decided better on it. She'd send him a note later to get him back to the hospital wing. She'd at least check him out, even if she did end up sending him to the counselor's later. She settled in front of the twins, an eyebrow raised high.
