"I'm fine." Vannah said coolly. She straightened up and untwisted her necklace from her finger. "I hate these birds! They always try to attack me." She whined. She ran a hand over her hair, making sure it was still smooth. When Vannah finally looked up again, she noticed Ryan wasn't very far away from her. Had he been standing that close the whole time?

Ryan watched her "Do you want to get out of here and away from the owls then?" he asked. He wouldn't mind getting away from where all of the bad news and come to him.

Vannah nodded, accepting his offer. Anywhere was better than the Owlery. Besides, their latest meetings hadn't gone over too well. Now that Vannah has been back at Hogwarts and gotten herself readjusted, she hoped she could patch things over with Ryan. He seemed like he was really affected by something and she hoped she could help him. "Where to?" She asked.

Ryan shrugged and looked outside "Wanna go out to the lake?" he said, not really sure of where else to go. His mind was mostly elsewhere, so not much thought was able to be given to making a pick.

Vannah took one look around the Owlery. That was a mistake, she should have just left when she had the chance. Her mind flashed back to the terrible day. That day that had started everything. It was the last time she was in the Owlery. It wasn't a place she had come to often, maybe three times total in all her time at Hogwarts. She had been in the Owlery to...well that part isn't clear in her mind. What was clear was who happened to appear next...or did he follow her? The word still burned in her mind, like a fresh wound being soaked in salt water: Rape. A tear slid down her cheek and she closed her eyes, willing the awful memory away. "Let's go." She said sharply. She didn't wait for him to follow before she ran out.
