Celyn had only heard about Dare through the petty gossiping of some girls in the common room. Her knowledge of Dare outside the apparent 'juicy gossip' was nil and she never felt the need to ask, it was none of her business and if it wasn't for the fact that it had been everywhere, she probably would have remained unaware of the situation. Still she wouldn't mention as much. "Graduation, I wish it was that close for me. I have to bear another year of 'Write a two paged essay on the use of unicorn horn in potions brewing'." she scrunched up her nose, it wasn't like she would even do the essay, but them expecting it out of her was just as annoying.
Celyn managed to catch on the was. He didn't use the term 'is' which could imply that she was no longer around. Celyn would not ask nor allow herself to pry in something so private. Instead she allowed her features to brighten up much like a child who was curious about the magical world around them. "So I can go on about doctors and TV without receiving odd looks! You're amongst one one my favorite people." she teased lightly pushing her fringe away from her face and brightly smiling.

Dare smiled back, then half-shrugged as he closed his book bag. "I've only seen a TV on once," he said and, recalling the circumstances, went on quickly. "But anyway, I'd know what you were talking about, at least. Our house was mostly wizarding stuff. Mom thought it was cool." It seemed so damned long ago! It was, it had been two years.
"Do you know many people around here?" Dare asked, looking at Celyn. She either didn't, or she was flattering him. Not that he minded.

Celyn wasn't a fan of T.V. She felt like there was more to life than just gluing herself in front of a screen for entertainment. "My parents thought it was cooler to live with the muggles. They went as far as leaving their homes and flying over to raise me in the U.S because 'The Americans really know how to live'." [/b] she quoted her father, her parents in her opinion were a bit crazy, but she wouldn't have them any other way. In fact, her parents were a lot like her friends only her mother was more rational that her father. His question caught her off guard. Yes she did know of people, but on the personal level not so much. Apparently she was very good at completely severing her relationships with people. She could have stayed Silver's friend, but her pride had to just get in the way. She could have just agreed with Willow and perhaps developed some form of a friendship, but of course she wasn't going to bend her beliefs just to please someone else. Then there was Trent, he was confusing as hell. "I've been here since first year. I probably know everyone in this castle, they just don't know me." sounded like she was a stalker, but there was the child-like grin that negated the stalker-like connotation.[/blockquote]

"So you're one of those in-the-shadow types?" Dare asked, his crooked smile echoing her grin. He gave a light toss of his head, sending colorful hair flipping out of his eyes a moment before sliding back into place. "Walk with me?" he added. He gestured down the hallway in the direction he'd been heading. He wasn't any more enthused about the library than he'd been when he'd first tripped over Celyn, but he still needed to pick up a book.

In-the-shadow-type that pretty much summed it up. "Yes, I creep in the night, stalking my prey. When no one is watching and then..." her voice got dramatic as she spoke. "Then I move on to something more entertaining." [/b] it was anticlimactic. Celyn considered his offer and nodded. "Sure."[/color] she picked her bag to her back. "So where were you heading before I rudely interrupted?"[/b] she wasn't sure where she was going, probably to the common room or a secluded alcove; it was good she stayed here or she may not have bumped into Dare. "Or did you foresee a run in with greatness?"[/b][/blockquote]

Dare grinned at the tease. "If only I'd done my divination this morning," he said. "No, I was heading to the library. Need a book for class." He didn't know why he bothered with his potions book anymore. At this point, it was more a vague reference so he could figure out what kind of book he really needed.
"I can't wait until I'm done with all this. I'm so sick of school!" And yet a few months ago he'd wanted to teach? Right now all he wanted was a vacation. "What year are you? If I already asked, I'm using seventh-year-itis as my excuse."

There was a momentary horrified look on her face. "The library! With all those study groups and the painful sound of scratching quills on parchment! Actually, the library isn't too bad." the horrified look became more pleasant. Celyn liked the library when it was near empty, but there was no point in going into lengthy details about her 'horrific' experiences with full libraries.
If he was seventh year, then that must have meant that Silver was possibly a Sixth year; unless they were twins, but Silver would have mentioned that little fact when he mentioned Dare and of course he didn't. "Sixth year. Even if you did ask, I forgot that I answered. I'm using sixth-year-memory-loss-niosis. I heard it's almost as dangerous as what you have." [/b][/blockquote]

Dare chuckled. "I've never heard of that, it sounds serious," he said. He didn't think he could even remember that mouthful of fake disease. Sixth-year-memory-loss-niosis. "Of course," he went on, "seventh-year-itis can be fatal. Better men than me have dropped out a month to graduation." If only they could really pawn off being sick of school on some kind of disease like that, it would be a lot easier.
"Have you seen the nurse?" he teased.

Suppressing a smile was really hard and while she somewhat managed, the corner of her lip was pulled up just a bit. "I can't say I've experience yours, maybe it's worse than what I have." Celyn pushed the tapestry as the reached it and peered out. The corridors had cleared out by the sound of it and there was no one to see them. Squeezing through she held the tapestry open for Dare.
His mention of 'the nurse' earned him a look of horror, or her horrible attempt at horror despite the amused look "The nurse! I can't even believe you mentioned that! Don't you know that a side effect of s-y-m-l-n is nursophobia!" she tried to make it seem like it was one of the most obvious things in the world.

"I should start paying attention in my Oddball-Diseases class," Dare said. His straight face was only ruined by arched brows if you could see them through his fringe. He had to duck down to get through the tapestry Celyn was holding, but the teasing expression was quickly replaced with one of curiosity. "Do you always hold doors for guys?" he asked.

"What is the world coming to!?! Not paying attention in classes!" that was probably the most hypocritical statement she could ever make, even if it was a tease. Celyn was the last person to pay attention in class; when she attended at least.
Letting the tapestry fall back his question wasn't expected. It wasn't that she didn't have an answer, she was just never asked. "Why should guys always be the ones to do things for girls. Girls throw tantrums over their guys not getting them something or not being a gentleman or whatever it is. I just think that if we want to be treated equal, then we should act like equals," she shrugged. "Besides, if we have to wait around for guys then nothing will get done. Honestly, girls wait for dudes to make the first move, but why when you can just do it." which sometimes worked, but it reminded her of her little encounter with Silver. She made the first move and it didn't turn out right. She didn't wait for him to explain himself when he was with Willow, she felt like she deserved an explanation at that given moment and she thinks it was the best part. There was no deception or any of that bull, it ended and it was done...... that was done with a chapter she wouldn't visit anytime soon.
Celyn shook her head and chuckled. "Does that answer your question?"
