Celyn raised a brow. Was that really important? If he was one of those then she might as well set him straight from the beginning, just because he was a Hufflepuff didn't completely blow off the idea that he may harbor muggle prejudice. "Pureblood, but I've lived amongst muggles when I was back in the states." there was no point in jumping to conclusions of this guy, perhaps he just couldn't think of another way to keep the conversation going, it happened sometimes she supposed.

Ryan smiled "That is cool, and no, I don't have a problem with muggles. I am a half-blood, and I was raised as a muggle for most of my childhood in Texas. I was just curious."

Did Celyn say it out loud? Her mind went through what she had said and she was fairly sure she hadn't mentioned it, that and her facial features were neutral. Perhaps he just assumed as such, whatever, it didn't matter anyways. "Texas? Nice. I'm from L.A." [/b] it was good to know that there were a few from the States around. She had already figured from the accent of Silver that he wasn't from England, but she never really asked him... there had been too much confusion that day.[/blockquote]

Ryan smiled "I have been to L.A a couple of times, it is very nice out there. Do you miss being back home, or do you like it better here?" Ryan looked back up into the sky trying to answer his own question. He had some great times here at Hogwarts, but he also had really missed his family and friends back home in the muggle world.

"I miss the weather, and the more laid back life style. I still go there every summer, but I suppose this has become my new home." her life was stable. Good family, she had more freedom to do what she liked even though her family didn't always approve. Everything here was fine, but there was that nostalgic feeling every once in a while. "How about you?" she asked absentmindedly. Celyn leaned against the tree, the wind rustling her hair relaxing her.

Ryan thought for a moment "I love it here, but several times I have thought about leaving and going back home. I miss my family and my close friends. Also not as many people trying to ruin my reputation back home. I think it has got to the point that more people want me to be back home than here, including myself sometimes."

Celyn grinned, she understood to a certain extent what he meant. "Well my family is here, so I can't say I understand your situation. Still, the whole reputation this does get on your nerves. Well, mine not so much to the extremes as yours." she shrugged lightly. "I swear it's like the weather is in a pissy mood today. Must say I love it." her smile grew as she shut her eyes inhaling deeply.

Ryan nodded "I love this weather too. Not much of this back in Texas, mostly just heat." he said as he looked up and saw that it was starting to softly rain.

"The heat isn't that bad. Still..." still the rain was better. The small droplet fell on her face, but she remained unfazed and still leaning against the tree. There was nothing more to say and just leaning against the tree was enough to make her mind drift off to a calmer and more relaxed place then the hectic one it was usually in.

Ryan smiled "The rain is calmer." he said, somewhat finishing her sentence. He closed his eyes and let his mind wander as he could hear the sound of the rain getting a little harder.

She nodded, but only a little bit and as the rain picked up, she felt her lips spread into a less restrained smile. In fact, she felt so soothed that she could hear nothing but the sound rain made as it hit the multiple surfaces around them. It seemed to gradually pick up and despite the fact that one would think them to be crazy out in this weather, she seemed to be more at ease thank what most would feel.

Ryan opened his eyes again as it started pouring down rain, and he looked out and could barely see in front of him "Amazing how fast a storm can hit." he said still looking out into the rain.

The drops were gentle at first, but it slowly began to pick up in speed and soon enough her hair was sticking to the side of her face from the water. "What's more surprising is how fast it can go by." [/b] she opened her eyes and glanced at him briefly before shutting them again. Celyn tilted her head upwards, the rain running down her face, down her neck...[/blockquote]

Ryan looked up at the sky and stood up and walked out into the rain and stood there getting soaked and smiled "This feels nice."

Celyn could only agree, it did feel nice to have rain pouring down on her. Celyn would be soaked, but she was sure she could dry herself off with a charm once inside the castle, no big deal. Besides, even if she wasn't able to dry herself with a charm, it would be well worth it. "Good inspiration." she was thinking out loud, but it didn't really matter if someone was around or not, she would think aloud no matter who was around.
