Last night had been filled with pouring over tomes, anticipation building for what she and Dare would be doing. It didn't take much for her to dive headfirst into any research, but this was more interesting. Almost as though the suggestion never would have gone anywhere without Dare's encouragement.
Certainly she never would be climbing the astronomy tower if it weren't for his believing it sounded like a good idea. It definitely sounded exciting, intoxicating, much like something an adventurer would endorse themselves in.
Silver had still been in her thoughts last night, but only on the fringes as she dreamed of scaling the walls of Atlantis or Troy. Her thoughts didn't include the dangers, the consequences, or anything other than the thrill of possibly climbing the tower. After hours of searching last night and this morning she had found something. Lentesco Manuum, loosely translated to sticky hands.

Dare ignored the dirty look Madam Pince gave him as he walked into the library, a large apple in his hand. Minus one very large bite. It was lunch time, and he couldn't afford to skip out on food when he hardly ate as it was. He didn't intend to paw over the books with wet fingers, so she could skulk around the kids passing around the Drooble's Best.
His lips curved as he caught sight of Willow, and his footsteps quickened a bit. "You look happy," he said softly, leaning slightly over her shoulder to see what she was working on. It felt natural to do so. He'd never had the personal bubble his brother did, he'd just been unable to get close to anyone but Michael since he'd been at Hogwarts. Even Michael had taken time, and he'd felt guilty any time he'd gotten close to Markise, even if it hadn't meant anything, really. Willow felt like starting over, felt safe, and so the walls he'd built up over the past couple years weren't needed.

Willow wasn't freaked out by Dare coming up behind her, to often when she got occupied with a book she'd end up on the floor with books scattered because she hadn't been paying enough attention. Rather when he came up behind her, the question set off that eager anticipation that had been building since they had first posited this idea.
She turned around her eager smile lighting up her features, silver hair flying, catching on chairs, her fingers, everything in it's path. "Yeah, I think I found something." It didn't even occur to her how very close she was standing to Dare, chests almost touching. "Do you want to see?" She'd been practicing it and she thought she had it figured out.

Dare hadn't felt too close to Willow until she turned around. Then he'd become very aware of it and, after a momentary flash where he'd taken everything in wanting to capture it on paper, he shifted his weight and stepped slightly to the side.
The thought was gone as quickly as the motion, and Dare's lips curved in echo of Willow's smile. "Yeah, I want to see," he said. He took another bite of apple and moved to pull the strap of his book bag over his head, setting it down on the closest expanse of bare table. "What did you find?"

"Here let me show you," Willow pulled out her wand, her fingers gripping loosely, delicately, but with a calm assurance that it would give her exactly what she wanted. "It's a spell called Lentesco Manuum." She grabbed one of Dare's hands and her head tilted in concentration for a moment, "Lentesco Manuum," she said softly, her wand making quick movements, like it was poking some invisible molecule in the air. Her smile widened farther as tiny circles began to appear on Dare's hand.

It felt bizarre, and though Dare would never admit it, more than a little like being kissed repeatedly on the palm. His eyes rounded slightly at the suction cups that were sprouting, and he flicked a glance aside at Willow. "I didn't think of transfiguration," he said, then looked back at his hand. He was supposed to be working on human transfiguration in class, but it hadn't even occurred to him. "Oh, this is gonna be wicked," he said with a grin.

Willow couldn't help a chuckle, "that's not the best part. Try touching something." She'd spent about an hour once she was sure that she had perfected the spell. It was crazy, like there was a soft filmy material on your hand as it stuck to, but allowed you to pull away. "I tried it with weight, it will hold our body weight, but it will still allow us to move." She wasn't transfiguring her other hand until they were actually at the tower.

Dare set down his apple immediately, eager to try it out. One long look over his shoulder to be sure Madam Pince hadn't followed him, and he let the thought of her go. He pulled out a library chair, then pressed his sticky palm to the seat, making a face at the obvious feel of attaching to it. "You tried it out in the dorm or what?" he asked. His shoulders tensed and he straightened, lifting the heavy wooden chair a bit off the floor. "This is so weird," he mused.

She shook her head, "I found it earlier this morning, I tried it out during one of my classes, we had a mostly free period." Willow grinned as she watched him picking up the chair with his hand, "they're tricky, if you just attach and pull back it keeps a hold of whatever you touched." She walked closer to where Dare was standing and put her hand over his to show him something. "If you slide your hand as you lift though, your hand just lets go of it."

Dare's attention was riveted on the thought of the adventure, and he grinned at the ticklish feel of his hand releasing the chair. It fell with a noisy clunk that reverberated through the quiet library, but he couldn't summon up any shame for the disruption. Rather, he stuck his hand to the table, testing how hard he could pull without discomfort. It probably wasn't the place to test things like that, but he didn't have a thought of packing up and going elsewhere.

The excitement was to much for Willow, she had been looking forward to this since Dare had latched on to it as an idea. "So what do you think? Do you think it will work?" She was thinking that they should try a practice run before they actually hit the tower. But the idea of hitting the tower and giving it a try was exciting too. The thoughts of what could happen if for some reason this spell didn't work didn't exist in the excitement. "Should we try a test run?"

Dare nodded, his gaze remaining on his stuck hand for now. He relaxed his hand and pulled at an angle, watching it slide free and marveling at how natural it felt. "Yeah, it's gonna be harder working more than one at a time," he said, thinking aloud. "Room of Requirement?" he suggested. Dare looked aside at Willow, his eyes glittering in teasing reminder of the things they'd talked about before. "Unless you're afraid I'll seduce you again," he added.

Seduction again. She tried to remember exactly where they had run across using those words before and she almost blushed, almost. Silver was seduction, the green of his eyes drawing her in across a table, his poetry speaking volumes about him, even when he was quiet. "No, a little seduction is healthy in life. The Room of Requirement it is." Willow slipped over to the table to pick up the book that she had found the spell in, and slipped it into her satchel. "Before Madam Pince blows a gasket over your apple," she said with a soft smile.
