Vannah was surprised at how well he appeared to have taken her decision. She pushed herself up from the couch. There was nothing more for her to do there. Her legs were stiff from sitting down and she stumbled at first. Without looking at him, she headed towards the door. She didn't say anything because she knew if she did, she might break down right there. She didn't want that, especially not there.

Ryan didn't look at her as she started to walk out, and tears started streaming down his face. He stayed still watching the screen, not wanting her to know that he was crying.
