The summer is still in full swing; the air was still as hot and humid as ever, cold beverage are sold at ridiculous amount at every corner, ice cream places are still the very best to-go place in the heat and light clothing are still in fashion. The streets are almost deserted as most had chosen to pack themselves into any cold store they could find; the candy store, ice cream parlor and even The Three Broomstick which usually offer the best hideout for anyone who feel the need to take a bit of time off and enjoy a not-so-quiet evening surrounded by strangers talking in loud tones, snorting or even dumping things on you, accidentally and not-so-accidentally. Usually, it's not a place where Isobel would want to spend her evening or even any time of day. She had never been very fond of large crowd or the building attention which she happens to receive every now and then whenever she walked into a room. It suffocates her.
However, strangely enough, today of all day, after some desperate need of bottle of butterbeer (she was never a heavy drinker that even a butterbeer could give her a hung over) to celebrate the news she had received earlier today. It was most exciting that she can't even find herself to hide her glow. Isobel walked into the already packed bar, as soon as she does, the noise of people's chatter almost throw her off, surprised even thought she shouldn't have knowing what place it is. She quickly adjusted herself, trying to make herself right at home which proven to be harder as she had chosen to wear her muggle best outfit; a sleeveless white t-shirt, v-neck cut and a pair of three quarter cut jeans along with a pair of white sneakers. She could feel a couple pair of eyes burn on her back as she made way to the counter, quickly taking an empty seat. She waited patiently for the barmaid who seemed busy taking orders from another far end from where she was sitting.

Delphi walked into the bar, leaving the suffocating air behind her. She was hot, slightly ruffled and sweating in places she didn't wish to think about. Her muggle clothes stuck to her as she moved, making her feel uncomfortable as the blue cotton shirt clung to her back. Normally she would wear her everyday wizarding robes, but she had to venture into the Muggle's world to visit a shop in the town. Delphi, normally quite placid by nature, was still biting her lip as she arrived at the public house. The town had been busy and many Muggles had walked into her, pushed her aside in their hastiness to get elsewhere and just downright rude. By the time Delphi had got to the crystal shop, she had her hand gripped tightly around her wand, ready to hex any muggle should he be rude to her.
As Delphi let the red haze leave her head, she noticed a fellow professor sat at the counter waiting to be served. She couldn't place her name, but she hoped she'd be welcoming all the same. Delphi made her way over, and sat down quietly next to her, placing her shopping bags on the floor beneath her feet.
"Yasou! Forgive me if I am wrong" Delphi began, "but don't you teach up at the school?"

Time passed and Isobel patience like any normal human being slowly grow thin. She had never been very fond of waiting, but she tolerate it if she really have to and have no choice other than to do as such. She drummed her long and thin fingers on the counter, dealing with her annoyance of the slow service. She debated with herself several times about jumping over the counter and seizing her own bottle of butterbeer, but seeing as she doesn't own the shop or even happen to be on good terms with the bartender, she had no other choice but to wait. She doesn't want to have a nice record of assault on her permanent record, especially when she had just landed a teaching job recently. She was almost certain that the Headmistress of the school wouldn't been so keen of keeping a staff member that is out of control. She just need a little bit of distraction, someone to talk to, to burn away the time away...
And just like that, she got her wish... Not exactly. "Excuse me? Yas-what?" Isobel asked, confused, wearing her infamous 'is that even a word' look. As much as she was glad to have company, Isobel would appreciate it more if she could understand her company's choice of language and she certainly can't make out what Yasou meant. "I mean, nevermind, ignore that." Isobel quickly decided to look pass the fact as her eyes darted, seeing the bartender was still as busy as she was a few moment before. "By school you mean Hogwarts, right? Then yes, I'm Isobel Clark. And you are?" She added, trying to pull the friendliest tone she could and ease up into a conversation by introducing herself. She have a feeling without someone to talk to, she would ended up storming out of the shop which she hoped would not happen any time soon.

Delphi was a little taken back at the abruptness of the woman beside her, but as Delphi thought to herself, if the lady, today, had a day that was anything like hers, she'd probably be just as abrupt for interrupting aswell.
"Ah, my apologies madam," Delphi began "I am from Greece and sometimes I forget to use the English words" She raised her shoulders in an apologetic way, hoping that Isobel wouldn't be too unforgiving. "I am Delphi Pythia, the Divination Professor at Hogwarts. I've been there for a couple of years now." She smiled, hoping that it was a warm one and nothing like the snarl she had been giving rude muggles previously and realised her throat was beginning to pang slightly. Delphi turned her attention briefly back to the counter. "The service is terrible in here!" Delphi exclaimed raising her hand to wave it about and attract the attention of the barman. "Excuse me!" She called out, hoping that she wasn't embarressing her new colleague. "So what is it you teach Isobel?" Delphi asked, her Greek accent accentuating the vowel's in Professor Clark's name.

Isobel flinched in her seat, the woman before her did not just call her 'madam'. But, Isobel wasn't deaf or having any hearing problem, so what she have heard must have been the right and exact word uttered by the woman. She shifted in her seat uneasily, not comfortable being referred to as 'madam', she was after all only twenty-three years old, single and never been married, who in their right mind would even call her madam? However, the woman before her quickly explained her origin which slowly relaxes Isobel a little, thinking perhaps where the woman came from, they refer every adult woman as 'madam'. "Oh, Greece? I don't think I've ever been there." She said, sounded at the very least interested about the country. "But, I would appreciate it if you didn't call me madam, it's a bit awkward. Just call me Isobel or Izzy." Isobel added, uneasily and was almost whispering when she mentioned the word awkward.
"Tell me about--" Isobel didn't get to finish her sentence as Delphi quickly tried to get the attention of the bartender whom was still busy attending long lines of customer which have yet to decrease since the last half an hour that Isobel had been there. However, Delphi turned her attention back to Isobel just as quickly as she had turned her attention towards the bartender. It in some ways amuse Isobel but she chose not to show it. "I have the privilege to teach Defense Against the Dark Arts this up coming semester." She answered, her smile spread widely on her face, showing her obvious excitement over her appointment to teach a very popular class to date.

Delphi bit down on her lip and lowered her arm. "Signomi! I mean, Sorry! I did not mean to offend with calling you madam, but I will call you from now on, Isobel!" She cried, her face going scarlet. "Sometimes I am too...hasty. I speak before I think, is that the phrase you use?" Taking a deep breath, she grinned at Isobel. "So Defence against the dark arts? Lucky for you the job is no longer cursed. From the stories I heard, well I am sure you know all about them!" She laughed as she quickly looked over to see if the barman was ever going to get his act together and serve them before closing time. "If I didn't want a drink so much I'd hex him into next week." Delphi said laughing, her shirt finally starting to unpeel from her back.

A smile spread on Isobel's face, she could understand what Delphi meant to a certain extant. "I know, and I don't mean to make you feel bad either, I was just saying. Sorry if I offended you." She said, apologizing for her boldness. "Yes, that's pretty much the phrase if I'm not mistaken." She added with another shining smile spread on her face, showing her white rows of perfect teeth. That's another thing that Isobel could understand, hastiness, she does it half the time and sometimes got herself into trouble for blurting out words without thinking it trough when she should really have done some thinking. Thinking can just a bit a little exhausting that she would occasionally drop it all together.
Isobel shifted in her seat uneasily when Delphi mentioned about the job being cursed previously, of course she had heard of all of it and have came to know about it all too well. "Mhmm... Yeah, of course." She replied uncomfortably. It seemed that it had became everyone's favourite topic ever since she first found out she had landed the job. There was even time she wished she could just hex the next person who mentioned the fact that the job was once cursed into oblivion, but she held it together and pull another smile to hide her annoyance. But, Delphi sudden remark about wanting a drink so bad cause Isobel to forget her uneasiness and she started to laugh that a couple of other customers turned to look at her curiously. "I know what you mean." She said in between her laughter.

Storm eyed two professors at least unlike the other drunks they wouldn't comment on how she looked. After giving one inching towards her a dark glare making him cringe away she started walking towards them blank faced. She stopped in front of them trying to smile however it faltered into a grimace, she wiped it away returning to her blank look.
"Can I get you anything?" she asked in a monotone voice.

Delphi was laughing along with Isobel when the girl arrived to take their orders. "Ah, a butterbeer for myself please, and a plate of ham sandwiches too if you could" she said before turning with a smile to the professor beside her. "Can I get you a drink Isobel?" She asked, overly relieved that her raging thirst would soon be quenched.

It took a while for Isobel to ease off, by the time the bartender decided to join the party, Isobel was left shaking some last bits of her ongoing laughter. Isobel noticed the approaching bartender long before her she decided to take their orders. She smiled slightly noticing a fail attempt of smile. Not everyone could pull a pleasant look, but it certainly would help if a bartender could smile every now and then without scaring of the customer. But, Isobel wasn't planning on making any comment about it. The second thing Isobel noticed was the bartender's tone, it wasn't as warm and friendly. Her smile faded slightly, seeing that it's not as infectious as she had hoped it would be. Delphi beat her to the punch, ordering first which was perfectly fine by Isobel, she wasn't rushing in the first place, she just don't like the waiting part much - that's all.
"I'll have a butterbeer." Isobel said, answering Delphi's question. "You don't really want to have me dancing on the table top later, I don't tolerate alcohol very well." She added with a slight grin. It was in fact true. Last time Isobel had more drinks than she should, she ended up karaoke-ing in front of her family. Thankfully they understood her all too well to even bother about it. Though, it does come up at Christmas every now and then and Easter, and Thanksgiving... Pretty much every holiday you could think off when the family gather together for some quality time.

She nodded her head and out of politeness gave a slight courtesy.
"Of course." the least she could do was be polite. Storm disappeared to the back room and came back with there orders.
"If you need anything just ask." she said then left to tend the other customers.

"Well, that girl was just a bundle of happiness" laughed Delphi watching the back of the girl as she walked away. "i bet she gets a lot of job satisfaction!" Delphi took a sip of her drink and picked up one of the sandwiches. The bread felt a little stale near the edges, but Delphi was famished and would have eaten anything at that moment in time. "So do you go out a lot Isobel?" asked Delphi, her attention torn between the sandwiches and her colleague.
