Katia looked around the nursing office, it was big, bigger than she'd anticipated, but then as she adjusted everything seemed different than she had expected. She took a deep breathe, this was hers she'd earned it with her hard work. Katia had never cared much for children, but they reminded her of a pure sense of hope and optimism, something she'd never had growing up. Aristocracy was good for blatant honesty, and truths that as a woman you were never as good as your male counterpart. But here, here she had her own domain, her own chance at what she saw in the faces of young kids everyday.
