After being lost in the school for 10 days, Erin used her common sense and came out by the lake to read. She was feeling downright horrible, and here robes were ripped in many places. It calmed her down usually to cuddle with her pet Niffler, but he was miles away from Hogwarts. The other thing was reading. She sat down at the edge of the lake, dipped her feet in the water and immersed herself in the book, wishing for something more interesting to do.

Layne had now mastered the inner workings of Hogwarts, knowing every corner and nook simply by the trial and error way. Now as she made her way outside she wondered if maybe she should have been focused more on the exterior. The grounds looked to lush and green and....big! Then there was the forest a ways away and a lake somewhere. She turned around and spotted a little shimmer that was obviously water. That way she said to herself.
A few minutes later Layne came across the beautiful view of the water. She put a piece of gum into her mouth and chewed while looking at her surroundings. It was peaceful and just exquisite. There was nothing like this anywhere else she had been. Scoping out the area her eyes came across the girl she had met her first day. Erin. Layne smiled and walked over to her. "Hey there stranger," She called out.

Erin looked up, surprised at the friendly yet unfamiliar voice. She racked her brain to remember.... The girl she met in the Great Hall!!! "Layne!" she said happily, trying to get up and accidentally tipping over into the water. "Good thing I put the Impervius spell on this book," she said spitting out water.

Layne bit back a fit of laughter. Instead, she walked over closer to Erin. "Good planning ahead then! Have a nice trip?" She blew a bubble of her gum and grinned. Then she offered a hand to help her friend out of the water.

Erin took the hand and stood up, ringing her hair like a towel. "I put the Impervius charm on everything after spilling butterbeer on my homework." she explained, still wringing her hair.
