After spending so much time indoors, Jasmine had decided to go take a walk by Hogsmeade. It was a pleasant place and she enjoyed looking through the windows of the passing stores. It had been too long since she had had a breath of fresh air since moving to a new school presented difficulties such as locating the right way to get outside. Hogwarts was like one large maze to the untrained eye. For now, she was leisurely walking and taking in the sun before going back inside.

Lalita walked through the streets looking for the new shop she had heard was rumored to be open either soon or now. She had heard bits and pieces from passing students and now needed to know for certain. Her pace was faster than normal, it was hot and she had no intention on being in th heat long. Once she found the store, she would see what it was all about. Traveling at such a pace, she almost didn't notice a familiar looking brunette to her left. She stopped and backtracked. It couldn't be.....but...wasn't she blonde? Giving the girl the once over, Lalita walked closer. "Jasmine..?" She called out questionably. How on Earth was she here? A small smile crept out of her mouth.

Jasmine took a moment to recognize that the voice was talking to her. She hadn't met anyone so far here. If not for the fact that she was practically alone over here, she would have thought the voice had been speaking to another Jasmine. Jasmine. The voice sounded so sweet and beautiful, only one other person sounded like that. She spun around to see the person and blinked in surprise. Then blinked again because the sun was blinding. "Lalita?," she said, saying the name that had been on her mind for a little while. "W-what are you doing here?" she stammered with a sudden case of the nerves. She was glad to see her. Very glad! But, was her happiness one sided? He nerves eased when she saw the smile. Letting out the breath she had apparently been holding, she returned the smile, now officially glad to see her friend.

"I transfered here about a month ago. You?" Lalita walked closer toward Jasmine. Why on earth was her hair no longer blonde? Not that it mattered too much, but the blonde hair had been so beautiful. Of course, brown hair was equally stunning. In fact, it brought out her eyes a little more. Her gaze traveled to meet those brown eyes, then quickly looked away. Since MI she had been thinking about her more and more. Perhaps some things had changed since, but she hoped whatever they had between then hadn't. Well, they hadn't really had anything between them. Just two awkward teens getting closer. Or maybe it was more? She searched through her own thoughts, wondering if it was all just in her imagination.

Jasmine tried to hold her gaze when Lalita looked at her, but sure enough, she too looked away. "I transfered too. Around the same time I guess." Why hadn't she looked around the castle more? Maybe she could have seen Lalita around the school! All this wasted time! She looked back up at Lalita, slowly moving her eyes from the floor to her head but not making it too obvious. God, she was still unbelievably perfect looking. Here she was, in a sloppy outfit, not expecting to see anyone then there was her looking beyong amazing! Life wasn't fair sometimes.

"Oh, cool," Lalita fell silent, not knowing what else to say. Sure they had a lot to catch up on, but she couldn't make herself say anything. She kept returning her look to the hair. The brown was growing on her more and more. In fact, as much as she loved blondes, the brown was special. It suited Jasmine well. She fidgeted in place. In front of males, her cool model attitude and confidense shone through, females however was a different person. "You look good," She ended up saying. It was typical small talk but she meant it. They had been separated for a while and although she looked different, it was a good different.

She looked good? Jasmine blushed slightly. So did she! Well, Lalita didn't look good, she looked great! "Thanks," she replied simply, "You too." After a few awkward seconds, Jasmine ran her hand through her hair, unaware of what to say next. "So, what's new?" She finally asked. There was so much she wanted to ask. She glanced back at that perfect face for a second or two and tried to read her body language. She wondered how much had changed between them or if Lalita still knew her one big secret.

"Not so much these days really," Lalita said breaking her gaze away from Jasmine to look at the street and wizards who were walking down it. "Mainly getting situated here and there. I've been looking for a good studio but no luck." She shrugged, this small window of not modeling had come at a good time. This new school took some getting used to and the break was refrshing.

Jasmine also looked away, but at the mention of looking for a studio she looked back at Lalita. "I could have sworn I passed a studio back that way," She motioned to the street that went on behind her. It looked closed, but whether it was a new business or one going out it counted. "You should check it out. I could show you where it is if you want..." She trailed off and shrugged.

Lalita looked past Jasmine in the direction she came from. Somewhere over there was a studio. Or at least something like a studio. That could come in handy. Looking back at Jasmine though she realized once she found a good place, being social would be harder. "Maybe another time," She heard herself say. There was plenty of time to find that place. Besides, the two of them had some major catching up to do.
