Dru found herself biting her lip and made herself stop as her eyes followed Chase. "Really," she said, "How much am I going to have to pay?" She didn't have any problems with paying for it, especially not with how her mind had gone straight down a rather inappropriate path. Although, not much was inappropriate when it came to her and Chase.

Chase gave a predatory grin at the question. "You might owe me for a while," he said. Especially if they continued to meet nights, when he was on duty. He couldn't think of any better time to meet. If they were seen together in any setting, he couldn't imagine it not getting printed. Carolynn was sure to find out, and though he could easily point out that no one believed that Berwyn guy was her cousin, that wouldn't stop her from canceling their agreement. His father would not like that, and he could bet that the next one would be too stupid to care. Or to hold his interest.

Dru raised an eyebrow and smoothed her hand absently over the wrinkles of the sheets and blankets. "I think I'll be okay with that," she said after a moment's thought. "I'm perfectly willing to pay." This was something she hadn't done in a long time. In fact, the only person she could remember ever teasing and flirting like this with was Chase.

Chase's grin broadened, and as he stopped beside the bed, he kicked his shoes back off. Here was something he hadn't had nearly enough of. Carolynn was good for double-entendre, but he had too much to prove to her for it to be nearly this much fun. "You could start paying now," he suggested, reaching for his belt.

Dru raised one eyebrow at that and pushed herself up to her knees, though she made sure to keep the sheet wrapped tightly around her. She moved over to the edge of the bed in front of Chase. "Gladly, just tell me what I owe," she said, moving her hands up to his chest before trailing them down to meet his hands.

Chase had several ideas, but he paced himself, no matter how much he just wanted to take. This was still very new and he didn't know how it was going to work out. There was a lot he let show, quite a bit that he'd started letting show at least at the masquerade, but there were still things he held back. There were things he always held back, even without knowing. They might as well not have existed anymore now. It seemed neither he nor Dru could pull away, and somehow, deep into the early morning hours, they fell asleep still tangled together.

Dru hadn't intended on falling asleep with Chase, and when she woke up there was quite a number of seconds where she had no idea where she was. Then it had slowly started sinking in, and she realized that it all was real, that it really was Chase there with her in bed. She closed her eyes briefly before looking up to see Chase's face as he slept, so free from the harshness she knew it could carry when he was awake. She didn't want to wake him up, but she couldn't stop the soft motion of her hand against his muscles. It was different in the light of day, even though she couldn't see the light from outside, but amazingly, she didn't regret her decision.

Chase woke slowly and very comfortably. He couldn't remember the last time he'd felt this relaxed. At the soft feel of a light, feminine hand against his chest, he decided that he was still half asleep and had no desire to wake up and go to class. As he lay there, he began to realize that hand wasn't in his dreams, and he opened lightly smoldering, sleep-hazed eyes to see Dru. In the Master Bedroom at Firebrand Place. In a flash, the night before came back to him, and a moment's flickering surprise died into a light wash of crimson at the edges of his eyes. His lips curved into a lazy smirk.

Dru felt a subtle change in him and looked up to see that he was awake. "Good morning," she said softly, then shifted to press a light kiss to his lips, though not before her eyes caught onto that smirk. "Sleep well?" she asked, with a small smirk of her own on her lips. She had slept wonderfully, and it hadn't been because of the fine quality of the sheets.

"Mhm," Chase intoned, one hand rising to curve around the back of her head. That kiss had been a tease, especially after everything that had happened last night. He intended to give her a kiss that would last her the rest of the day, even without everything else he intended to do with her. He didn't know what time it was, but whatever was happening out there could wait for now.

Dru went willingly, eagerly, into the kiss, bringing one hand up to rest lightly against Chase's jaw. Oh she had missed this! She couldn't think of why she had been so intent on getting things he wasn't willing to give her when he gave her this. But it was different now, wasn't it? Somehow, something was different, and it made everything mean more. She still wanted to talk to him, to know him better, but it just didn't seem as pressing as it was before.

Chase knew what the difference was, though he wasn't thinking about it at the moment. For some inexplicable reason, she was acting like she trusted him. She had from the time he'd stopped her, threatening to take away all Ravenclaw's House points if he caught her again. She'd asked him if he really would, and he'd known she knew better. He was engaged, and she hadn't shown a moment's jealousy. He didn't feel defensive anymore, and she believed him this time. Just this one last time and he'd let her go for the day.

By the end Dru was so very relaxed, though she knew she had to get up, that she had things to do. "You're amazing," she murmured softly against his ear, before forcing herself to sit up and look around blankly for her clothes. She knew they actually needed to get up this time and that it was unavoidable. She knew they couldn't just hole up in the room all day long, no matter how pleasant the idea sounded.

Chase's lips curved, and his chest swelled at the praise to his prowess. He knew he was good, but it never hurt to hear it. They couldn't leave at the same time, so he let himself just enjoy the hum of his blood and watch Dru move. "You working again tonight?" he asked after a time. He imagined she would be, but he didn't think it was necessary to set up a schedule to meet.

Dru nodded as she got out of the bed and started dressing. "You know I'm always working." There wasn't anyone that she trusted to run the club completely without her. Even if there was, she would probably panic continuously throughout the night wondering if anything had happened. "Do I still have to go get a pass from the Headmistress?" she asked, looking back at him and grinning.
