Dorian was just fed up of all the classes and all the stress. He was a sixth year and he didn't know what he would do after graduating. He thought of becoming a Healer in St Mungo's... but that kind of job required focus, and he lacks of focus. Being part of the Ministry of Magic was another possibility; but in what position. He loved Potions and Charms. He also read about spells (forbidden and not) on his grandparents library. But what would that do for him? He knew many things, but too little about all those things. Dueling was kind of his thing, but dueling was good for Aurors, and he didn't want to be one.
He was lost in his thoughts, walking around when he found himself nearby the lake. It was cold, since it was about dinner time, but he didn't care. He knew that he had to pick a job sooner or later. He had disappointed his parents by chosin Hogwarts as his school and not Durmstrang, so he had to choose correctly not to disappoint them again. After an hour of thinking, walking, throwing some pebbles in the calm lake, Dorian heard a noise coming from behind. 'Lumos!', he shouted pointing toward where the noise came from. 'Who's there?'. He was actually hopping it was someone he hated, he needed to duel to release some of his stress.

Chase had his wand out and at the ready in a heartbeat. It was a reflex from years of training, and even at ease he was on guard. Especially since the duel with Emilian. They'd both come out of it bad, but his scars weren't visible, and he was still a student at the school. Head Boy, in fact. He walked a thin line, though. It had been just over a year now, and he knew if he screwed up the Headmistress would make good on her threat. But I need to make this clear to you. If you are caught or get into anymore trouble, then you will be expelled. That would ruin so much for him.
"Put your wand down," he called. Whoever it was had better be easy to deal with. It was nearly supper and he didn't want to waste his time on some over-excited kid.

Dorian smirked. He looked at the figure he was lighting with his wand. He looked familiar. He was a Slytherin, he knew that for the robes of course. But he seemed more familiar than just for seeing him in the Common Room. And then , when he was about to ask for his name, he remembered. 'You are Chase Firebrand, aren't you?' he said still smirking. Of course, he had ignored the little warning about putting his wand down. 'I've heard a lot about you. You are even more famous than I am...' he said still pointing with his wand toward Chase's chest.
He wasn't scared, he seemed dangerous, but there was no one Dorian couldn't defeat. He learned from his family a lot of tricks for duels: forbidden spells, mostly.

Chase's eyes narrowed dangerously. He had never asked for that fame, never wanted any part of it. "Put. Your damn. Wand. Down," he advised, ignoring the kid's taunting. He'd heard so much worse and didn't even bother acknowledging it. The idea of a duel didn't scare him in the least. It was far more of an annoyance than anything. He was in no mood for a fight, especially against some kid he knew wasn't a 7th year. He didn't know what year he was, though. Chase only paid enough attention to people to get what he needed to get done.

'Do you think I'm deaf? I heard you the first time... I just assumed you realized' he said smirking. 'And besides, no one talks to me like that. Not even you'. He started walking in circles around Chase, as if he was studying him. He kept looking at his eyes, those eyes. Chase seemed dangerous and someone Dorian shouldn't be teasing, but he loved danger. 'Shouldn't you be doing some prefect crap or something? Go somewhere else and waste someone else's time. You are actually more boring than I thought you'd be...'

Chase would have rolled his eyes at the kid's cockiness, but he honestly didn't care to waste the effort. "Twenty points from Slytherin for being an idiot," Chase said. He brought his wand down and headed away. He was going to get some supper. He didn't have time for kids who thought they'd prove themselves against the famous Chase Firebrand. And he didn't care if he docked his own house points. His house-mates avoided him anyway. It was the blond kid they'd blame.

Dorian laughed loudly. '20 points?!!! That is so funny. Do you think I care about the house points? I don't even care about my roomates, how would I care about those points' he said between laughs. He hated to be undersestimated, but he had to keep 'calm' and show no weakness. 'And you walk away? You are weaker than I thought. I actually knew you'd defeat me, I just wanted to learn some spells from you, but it seems you are too worried about keeping you loner role going on' Dorian waved his wand. 'Incarcersortia!' dozens of black snakes flew from his wand toward Chase. 'Come on!!! Show me what you got!!!'

Chase had rolled his eyes at the kid's taunts, knowing how many Slytherins did care about house points and how they'd likely deal with the kid screwing it up. He'd ignored every word that followed him until that incantation. Chase waved his wand and every snake disappeared in a small puff of black smoke. He half turned back toward the boy, eyes narrowing and red-brown eyes flickering with crimson. "You do not want to do this," he advised. There was a man in Hogsmeade with a crippled hand who'd say the same.

Dorian smirked. 'It seems you use very well the defensive spells' he said. 'I only know one person that is able to destroy my snakes, he'll be surprised to know that a seventh year from Hogwarts is able too'. Dorian was talking about his father, the one that taught his that spell, and many others. Of course he wasn't supposed to use those spells in Hogwarts, but who'd notice? He always hide his mischievous acts. He had been using this kind of spells since he was fourteen, and he was quite good using them. 'And how do you know I don't want to do this? I mean, it's fun, and I don't think that you'd kill another student... for what I've heard, you are about to be spelled, aren't you?'
(OOC.- I dunno if I could have that information, if not, tell me and I'll change the post)

((OOC: The fight and everything was public information. It's in the gossip column of the Daily Prophet if you want to read up. It'd be easy enough to guess the rest.))
Chase knew more than enough dark magic and defense against it to hold his own against a seasoned Death Eater. Even if Durmstrang hadn't been enough, his father's rigorous training certainly had been. As for killing, this kid had no idea what Chase was capable of, especially with the levels of stress and self-destructive melancholy he'd been under for nearly a year now. He'd nearly killed someone in front of a room full of witnesses once. He'd wished so many times that Adara hadn't stopped him.
"That was a year ago," Chase said. "I've been on the Headmistress's good side ever since. If I say it was justified I'll walk away." He wasn't entirely sure that was true, but he was sure enough that he'd defend himself. That was entirely different from attempting to kill someone.
