She hadn't even really been expecting them yet when Anna spotted a multicolored head of hair that she couldn't imagine on anyone else. The dark red head trailing behind him took away what little doubt she had of their identity. She leaned over the table, shoving Markise's shoulder before standing up. "They're here." She said, loud enough that they couldn't ignore her over their make-out session. She lifted one of her hands in the air waving to get their attention when they looked her way.

That shove did manage to get Angel's attention, and much to Robbie's displeasure, the kiss was finally broken. Angel looked up in confusion, a few long seconds passing before he even recognized Anna through the haze. "Who's here?" he asked. His eyes closed as Robbie diverted his attention down his neck.

Dare wasn't sure whether he was looking for just Anna or Anna and Markise, nor was he even sure whether Markise went clubbing blond, so he would have looked quite a bit longer if he hadn't caught that motion from the tables. His eyes flickered over Anna, then toward Markise, sitting on someone. Dare sighed heavily. This wasn't going to be fun.
He threw a glance over his shoulder to be sure Michael was still there, then gestured in the right direction before changing his course. As they approached, he kept his gaze mostly on Markise, hoping he wasn't as bad off as he looked, despite what his eyes told him.

Michael took a deep breath and followed, his eyes hovering on Anna for a second before they moved to Markise. Watching Markise and...whoever it was he was sitting on wasn't much better, though, so he put his hands in his pockets and kept close to Dare. He still held on to some small thread of hope that this whole thing wouldn't take too long, though it looked like he was fooling himself.

Anna leaned against the booth nervously chewing on her lip as she waited. She kept her gaze in their direction, not on Markise, but kept her eyes slightly lowered. Her stomach was completely in knots now, and it felt like it was taking an eternity for them to approach. She was mostly concerned with Dare's reaction as Markise's friend and felt like a failure for having to owl them to get picked up as if Dare and Michael were about to scold and ground them for misbehaving. It didn't help having Michael there, especially since it was a gay club, and tried not to imagine what he was thinking of her.

Robbie was determined to get as much as he could before Angel left, so that warning didn't slow him down. And Anna hadn't said anything else, so he didn't bother to cease or desist, or even to slow down. Angel didn't object, either. It had taken him less than a minute to forget Anna's warning, and he was enjoying himself.

When Dare got to the table, he threw Anna a look of resigned gratitude, then turned to the other two. He gave the stranger a hard enough prod to stop him and ignored the annoyed glare he got as a result of it. For a moment, Dare's hands touched down on Markise's shoulders. Then he leaned close enough to be audible. "Markise, time to go."

Michael's urge to keep his hands in his pockets fought with the urge to bring one up to rub uncomfortably at the back of his neck. He didn't want to talk to Anna, didn't feel it necessary right then, and he didn't want to focus on Markise. He wanted to be back in bed with Dare. That wasn't a possibility, though, so all he could do was stand there and try not to be as awkward as he felt.

Anna had looked up as Dare reached them and was surprised at the look he'd flashed her before focusing on Markise. She didn't know why she expected him to be annoyed with her, but was relieved that he didn't appear to be. She gave a tense smile to Michael before turning back to Markise and Dare. She couldn't hear what Dare was saying to Markise but he looked to be dealing with the situation better than her failed attempt. She'd let him handle things, but she was there to help in whatever way she could.

Markise's eyes blinked open at the familiar, comfortable feel of those hands, as briefly as they'd touched him. He looked over his shoulder at the words and found himself face to face with Dare. Dare, who said it was time to go. Markise pouted, but they'd done this enough times that he knew there was no point in arguing. "I'm still havin' fun," he said anyway.

"Doesn't matter," Dare said, his voice staying level. "Come on." He wrapped a hand around Markise's upper arm, and although his friend didn't seem to like it any more than Markise did, he helped get the blond to his feet. Dare gave an obligatory thanks and glanced back at Michael, then set his gaze firmly forward as he adjusted his arm around the back of Markise's shoulders.

The cool quiet of the street felt nice after the heat and motion inside, but it was still a shock to Markise's system. The group made a forced stop as he let go of another drink, Dare's hand warm at his back. Without the constant stimulation of the club, he was starting to feel sluggish, and as they went on, more and more of his weight leaned against the solid form beside him.

If it had only been him and Markise, Dare would have been far more comfortable. He'd done this enough times that there wasn't really anything unexpected. Markise was more drunk than Dare could remember him having been, but maybe it just seemed that way because it had been so long.
Dare's instinct was to just keep going, to let his fringe give him the tunnel vision he needed to not think about what Michael might be thinking. But Anna was there, and Dare remembered that day so long ago that he'd carried Anna halfway to the hospital wing from the lake. So now and then, whenever he remembered that this wasn't SWIM and they weren't the only ones here, he'd look back at Michael and try to catch his eyes, try to give him a reassuring look.
When they'd passed through the Leaky Cauldron and into Diagon Alley, Dare stopped. He looked to Michael again, then glanced at Anna before turning his attention to Markise. "You usually get here with a Portkey, right?" he asked. He thought he remembered Markise mentioning that once, but he couldn't be sure.

Markise was horribly nauseous at the suggestion. His lips pressed tight and shook his head. "I'm not goin' on a Portkey," he said adamantly, when he trusted himself to speak at all. "I'm not goin' on the Knight Bus neither." He couldn't think of a better solution, and in truth it didn't even occur to him to try. He was dizzy and the walk wasn't agreeing with him. Dare was supporting most of his weight by now and it had to be showing.

It was obvious to Dare, but he'd had to ask, at least for Michael. He turned to look at Michael now, his brows drawing together slightly in silent plea. He knew that Michael wouldn't like this, but it would be uncomfortable for all three of them. Still, Dare wouldn't feel right sending Markise off with Anna, even if he thought that Markise could walk on his own, and he couldn't walk Markise to his Common Room the way he used to. Just tonight, Dare mouthed. He knew it might be another night, another Friday, but it wouldn't be the entire weekend. He could get Markise back up to the school tomorrow. I'll make it up to you, I promise, he mouthed.
