"You'll regret it in the morning," Ariel said, his voice cracking slightly with the effort of not giving in. It was so hard when Markise knew exactly what he liked. It had been so long since anyone had even come close to finding those spots that he liked so much. Markise didn't want to be with him! They had already decided that, and if they did what Markise wanted... He pushed weakly at Markise's side.

Markise frowned, but didn't stop. "It's you or someone else," he whispered. The only someone else left was Robbie, and he wasn't even sure he'd get a second try. He knew what would happen with Robbie, and he was working so hard not to start taking one-night stands. His hand dropped, finding that tender spot on Ariel's hip and making light circles. Right now, he wanted this. If he regretted it in the morning, it would just be one of many.

Ariel's eyebrows came together tightly over tightly closed eyes and he fought with himself. Was it really better to let it happen? Surely Markise could find someone...but no, the only options he had were the ones at the club, and he certainly didn't need one of them. Thinking about it like that, it was only right to agree, but he knew that with them, it could never be just one time. Could either of them handle that? The fingers against his hip were distracting.

No argument. No participation, but no argument. Markise shifted sinuously against Ariel as his lips moved back down that cut jawline. He needed this, and he couldn't get it from Mano again, and he didn't want to give in to the persistent desire to just accept his lot and sleep around. He'd already accepted sex without expectation of a relationship. If Mano was that bad, Ariel couldn't possibly be worse. Half in love with you. His lips found Ariel's, and he tried to summon that uncontrolled heat they'd always had. Anything to get Ariel to respond.

It killed him to do it, it killed him that he was so weak when he had learned to be so strong when it came to this kind of thing. But with Markise it was so different. Ariel needed to be strong. Ariel needed to push Markise away and insist that they just go to sleep and ignore the burning in the pit of his stomach that was growing by leaps and bounds. Ariel needed....to move his lips against the ones already in place.

That first sign of a response removed a huge weight from Markise. He felt so desperate, and the longer he'd gone on with Ariel just lying there, the more pathetic he'd felt. This was encouragement. He took it, kissing Ariel and coaxing him to kiss back. He mentally pulled back enough not to demand heat anymore. He wanted to give Ariel something he wouldn't get anywhere else. His hand slid from its place at Ariel's hip, up to his waist. It paused, then he brought it down again, slowly, back toward that same spot with less barrier between.

Ariel moved his hand to Markise's back again and shifted closer. The simple touch of Markise's fingers made him sigh in relief; out of all the guys he had been with, not a single one had ever figured out that he liked it. Somehow, he was glad for it, it made it something that was special between him and Markise, something uniquely theirs. He parted his lips and encouraged the kiss to deepen.

Markise let out a low sound of pleasure as they kissed. He'd needed this so badly, and it felt so good being with Ariel again, even just for this. He did all the little things that he knew drove Ariel wild, plus a few new things he knew Ariel would like, too. But he was afraid of Ariel doing anything new to him, knowing how he'd have learned it. He encouraged Ariel in things he already knew he liked.

Ariel had no intention of holding back anything new he had learned. If Markise insisted on the experience, he was going to make it worth it. He wasn't going to hide anything or hold back, he was going to make Markise feel good. It was such a relief in itself to feel Markise's skin against his again, and he was glad for his experience, it gave him the ability to enjoy and be aware instead of it being a massive rush.

In the end, Markise couldn't think to turn away what Ariel did to him. Any arguments he might have made to himself just argued back that it was still Ariel, and he couldn't forget that. It felt so good, and he told Ariel in every whimper and sigh. He gave everything he could give and was left breathless and shaken. There was something there that hadn't been there before, something beyond the act. He didn't want to think about it, but as he clung to Ariel, he didn't need to. Feeling it was enough.

Ariel rested against Markise, eyes closed as he tried to catch his breath. His head buried itself in the crook of Markise's neck, pressing light kisses there in between deep breaths. Had it felt that good before? Back in the beginning? Ariel wasn't sure, and he didn't let himself analyze it. He accepted it, accepted the feelings that hovered underneath the surface that he couldn't see himself ever speaking.

Words were unnecessary now, and as far as Markise was concerned, they could ruin everything. He didn't want this to be ruined. He wanted to keep it and hold it close, to tell himself something good had happened while he was here. His hands moved idly against Ariel, one stroking through that thick hair he loved so much, the other tracing this muscle or that as the whim took him. He sighed in contentment.

Ariel answered Markise's sigh with one of his own and brought one hand up to tangle in Markise's hair. He pushed away the dirty feeling that threatened at the edges of his mind. He was sure it would come back soon enough, the moment he let his guard down. But he could postpone it and, at least for now, let himself enjoy everything. He remained where he was, refusing to pull away just yet, as though pulling away would break the spell.

"Can we sleep now?" Markise murmured after a time. He was drifting again, and what they'd done relaxed him enough that any further movement seemed like far too much effort. "Hold me just like this, Ariel." He was so comfortable here. He couldn't see himself regretting any of this. He'd been looking too long and too hard for the comfort Ariel had given in talking to him earlier, and he'd wanted too much to have it feel like it meant something that he couldn't regret getting both. Right now, how he'd gotten it didn't matter to him anymore.

Ariel sighed softly and nodded. He shifted his weight enough so that it wasn't all resting on Markise. He didn't speak, but settled against Markise, one hand in his hair, the other against his side. He kept his face buried in Markise's neck as he let himself drift off. He knew he wouldn't sleep as long as Markise, but for now he would just take in whatever he was given.
