Brindle was engrossed in a last-minute study session, notebooks, textbooks, and the odd quill spread out around her on a small couch by a window. Last minute, of course, meant that she'd forgotten the test and was hoping to absorb something before the afternoon. And engrossed, of course, meant staring blankly down at the same sentence she'd read four or five times as her mind wandered to the spring rain outside.
She would have far rather been outside, but aside from the rain there was the occasional flash of lightening, and the rain had brought with it a drop in temperature. As much as she loved being outside, she wasn't a masochist.
She sighed softly and pushed a lock of pink-tinted blonde hair back behind her ear. She still couldn't quite get all the color out, and she'd finally admitted to herself that maybe she should have bought Muggle dye instead of transfiguring it. A far more interesting thought than the method Barnaby the Barmy had used in troll training.
