Brenna was walking around when she decided to go into the forest. It looked like a good place to think, but within two minutes she got lost. "Not again..." She said out loud. Brenna looked around trying to find something that looked familiar enough to follow. She thought she saw a tree she recognized, but when she passed it and followed it's path she had gotten herself deeper into the forest. Brenna groaned. She hated it when she got lost---which happened quite a bit at this school. Brenna heard running water and thought it might be the Lake on the grounds, but when she got to it she saw it was a small river and she was still in the Forest. On the edge of the river, Brenna saw the most beautiful creature. It was a unicorn drinking from the water. Brenna leaned against a tree and decided to watch it for a while before setting on her adventure to find a way out again.

Ryan had been walking by the forest on the way back to the castle and heard Brenna's voice from the forest. Ryan decided he should go see if she needed help so he set off into the forsest to try and find Brenna.

Brenna cautiously walked over to the unicorn. She approached quietly, letting it know she would do no harm. Brenna raised her arm and petted it's mane, but its head jerked up and it ran off. "Non!" Brenna said softly. She chased after it as it led her deeper into the forest.

Ryan walked through the forest and got to the small river and saw footprints, unicorn ones and human ones. Ryan shook his head and followed them.

The unicorn hopped over a small stream about half a mile down from the river and so did Brenna. The unicorn was really fast, though. "Revenir!" Come Back! She called to it in French, but it was hopeless. Brenna had lost the unicorn, and had gotten even deeper in the forest. All she could see were trees....and they all looked the same. The trees were so thick, it was amazing any creature could get through them.

Ryan had followed the footprints but they had faded to where he couldnt see them anymore. He looked around, barely knowing where he was "Brenna!" he called trying to see if she was anywhere close "Are you there?"

Brenna heard an echo in the distance, but figured it to probably centaurs. She walked around a bit, but then gave up and sat against a tree. She started to hum a lullaby her father had sang to her when she was little to pass the time.

Ryan sighed and looked around and thought of where she could have gone. "Well im guessing she was chasing a unicorn, and there is another stream not to far from here, maybe shes there." he thought, so he set off in the direction of the stream.

Brenna heard leaves crunching and twigs snapping. She didn't think anybody would be insane enough to come out as far as she had, so she was pretty sure it was some creature. To avoid trouble, Brenna had gone deeper.....without realizing it. She could hardly fit through the spaces between threes, and she was pretty tiny. Brenna thought she'd be safe here because the gaps were too small for any animal to get through....well any that could do her any harm.

Ryan got to the stream and saw that no one was there but there were fresh footsteps and he shook his head. "Brenna where are you!" he called out as loud as he could to try and get her to hear him, she was going way too deep and it was very dangerous out here.

There was no answer....only the whisper of the wind. Brenna was too far into the forest to hear anything all the way back there.

Ryan sighed and kept walking around calling Brenna's name trying to find her, not wanting her to be in any danger.
