He knew the castle was huge. It was hard enough to get to the library, and it sucked when he had to go ask a group of giggling girls. Zane mentally rolled his eyes at the thought, they probably were excited to see a new face... not that he wasn't flattered, but he was so used to the gesture from girls that he got bored of it.
"Barely any left, makes everything in this castle seem more tempting." the last word rolled off his tongue. Zane didn't care about the adventure of searching for a good place, but what he did find appealing was what he would use those hidden rooms for.

Markise was uncomfortable again, though for a different reason this time. He didn't need another crush on another guy he couldn't have. Tempting. Well so was Ariel, and he wasn't about to swoon over that bastard. Or Mano, who would be so easy to swoon over. And Dare. DareandMichael, he reminded himself. Inwardly, Markise was pouting heavily.
"There's nothing tempting in this castle," Markise said, only managing to dim his obvious displeasure, but not to hide it completely. "If you find anything, let me know."
Markise decided he needed to get out of here. Hopefully Zane would find some girl who wasn't Anna or Brindle to give him a tour of the school. He'd forget all about that quiet blond guy, and Markise could forget that damned accent.
"I should be going," he said without preamble. "I need to get a book, and I have an essay to write." He pushed to his feet. "It was nice meeting you, though." He needed out of here. In fact, maybe he'd get that book from Anna instead.

Something was different this time, Zane realized he probably hit a nerve, or said something to make Markise's mood change. His exterior looked the same, same grin only his eyes were duller now.
"I will, that is if we happen to meet." Zane stood up as well, a formal gesture that he had been raised on and tilted his head in a bow.
"Arrivederci." his accent thickened one again, as he returned to sit back down. Leaning back against the chair, he propped his legs on top of the table, using the wall behind him as balance. Zane was now eying Markise, curious about what he may be thinking.

Markise gave Zane a somewhat suspicious look before saying bye and turning away. He spent one brief moment trying to decide whether to get his book here or go visit Annabelle, then headed for the shelf he'd originally been at. He was definitely going to visit Anna, but he didn't want Zane thinking he'd affected him or anything. As soon as he was out of sight of that... Italian shark, he headed for the door, fully intending to hunt down both his girls as soon as possible.
