At first, Lucretia thought people would blow her off, but with the interruption coming from the women, Lucretia couldn't help but raise a brow suspiciously. Why would someone who was obviously not a student come and ask such a question.
"Funny, I have something in common with a complete stranger." her words were not meant in an aggressive manner, but Lucretia had learned how deceiving appearances could be.
Lucretia had began taking note of the women before her. She was definitely a high classed pure-blood, no doubt someone her parents would associate with. She was also undoubtedly pretty, someone Chase would go for.
"But yes, I do know him." she wasn't going to go any farther than that, she would wait for the women to speak. Lucretia knew it was at these instances her mother would want her to be a proper lady, taking a deep breath and smothering on a smile she ushered her hand to the seat across from her.
"Would you like to join me?" she asked in a sweet manner, it was different than the way she first spoke, if this woman turned out to be one of the higher classed lady's and Lucretias mom found out she was being anything but nice... well she would be in for hell.

Carolynn's eyes brightened and she bowed her head slightly as she slid into the seat across from the girl. "Thank you." She kept her hands clasped in her lap under the edge of the table and her eyes down for a moment before she looked up at the girl. "How do you know him? I would love to know more about him," she said, her face showing nothing but curiosity. "Sorry," she added, her eyes falling again. "I am Carolynn Singh."

“No it’s quite alright, I am Lucretia Seyrrou.” she said, Lucretia was thinking about what had brought all of this on. Tilting her head, she raised a questioning brow.
“I’m sorry, but I only know your name, that doesn’t mean I know who I’m speaking to, or rather what you are to Chase. Lucretia’s eyes went over to the person Carolynn was with previously, but her gaze quickly returned to the woman before her.

"My apologies," Carolynn said, looking up at Lucretia with happiness in her eyes. "My mother and father come from India, though I was born here, and they made arrangements with his parents. They say we will be a good match." People would be finding out soon enough, anyway, there was no reason to hide it. And yes, her father had recommended the Firebrands, but it was she that had made the final decision. If Chase was any more like his father, they would be a wonderful match.

Lucretia could not hide the obvious shock on her face. Arrangements, wonderful match. Lucretia did not believe what she just heard. With her brows still furrowed, she mentally scowled at displaying such an emotion, but with Chase’s record, since when does he accept arrangements, let alone allow himself to meet his intended.
“I see, I suppose in that case, it depends on what you wish to know.” Lucretia’s mind was buzzing, what she should tell her. Make up a whole bunch of lies to make him seem unappealing, tell the complete truth and let Carolynn to decide, or make him more tempting than he already was.
Lucretia’s mind then strayed to the night she spoke to Michael; he did say something about Anna being with Chase… why type of bastard would do such a thing.
“Chase” her own mind answered which caused Lucretia to roll her eyes. Lucretia felt as if she was put in a very awkward position. Sighing she eyes the women, she did seem older than they were, but why would Chase even accept to be tied down… it was nothing like him.

Carolynn wasn't surprised to see the shock on Lucretia's face, not when she knew how Chase's father was. She could barely expect anything different from him considering the man who raised him. "How do you know him, are you his friend?" she asked, though she had a good idea of how the girl knew Chase, especially when she considered the initial reaction. "What is he like?"

A sour look came to her face; she didn’t fancy having to remember Chase. So he did give her some amazing moments, and ones that she didn’t want to think of, but did Lucretia really want to deprive him of proving himself to Carolynn.
“I’m not sure what we were, or what we are.” she paused keeping her eyes fixed on the girl. She was trying to read this woman, it wasn’t easy, but Lucretia’s clenched jaw made the girl aware that Lucretia wasn’t like most purebloods, she wasn’t going to spill her guts and gossip.
“He’s your typical charmer, his words, his movement, everything is captivating.” A small snarl came to her face, he was more than that, but saying those mere words made her wonder if she may still have some feelings towards Chase, especially after the shock she just received.
“And like all he takes what he wants, and throws the leftovers to the dementors.” She ended on a sour note, not sure why she was talking to this woman. Biting on her lip she felt herself slowly rise.
“IS that enough? Or would you like to know how he’s like in bed.” Her voice was scathing, the sarcasm evident. She didn’t care that a few curious heads turned to their direction, nor did she care about the fact that some people were blushing at her statement.

The girl didn't tell Carolynn anything she hadn't guessed already, she knew plenty of men like him. Plenty that attempted to be like him. "No thank you, I believe I will know that soon enough, will I not?" she asked with a sweet little giggle. "Perhaps that is a little too forward of me," she said apologetically as her eyes fell again. She felt like the girl should know that it was final, but she also knew that it wasn't polite to speak of such things. Technically. "But how can I not feel like it's Christmas at the prospect of being with one such as him?"

“You’re just diving headfirst into disappointments.” Lucretia wasn’t sure if she should leave, but if she did, she would have wasted her time coming to Diagon Alley in the first place. Sitting down carefully she eyes the women once more before finally realizing how childish she felt, rolling her eyes mentally.
“Not until your present blows up in your face.” She muttered for only herself to hear. Lucretia didn’t pay much attention to the women, she felt bored, she realized the more she gave the women, maybe she could gain from this herself, Lucretia was curious as to how the whole arrangement was made.

"I am positive that he and I will get along just fine," Carolynn said with an odd confidence that wouldn't make sense to anyone that didn't know her. As long as neither tried to hold the other down, she didn't see any problems being with Chase. They would have duties to perform, but it could hardly be called a duty to try for a child, could it? She smiled to herself, they only needed one, then they would never have to worry about it again.

"A match made in heaven." she said with an amused look. She knew Carolynn wouldn't understand what was going through Lucretia mind, but all the same, she could see what her next move would be.
"I'm sure you and Chase would have a potentially lovely future." her lips were curved up in a smile. It was sweet, almost sickly sweet, but Lucretia didn't care. This woman had just wasted her time and now she had wanted answers, ones that she would get.
Lucretia knew she had to be patient and didn't say anything more, either Carolynn could walk off right now, or she could be fueled by curiosity, Lucretia could say loads of things about Chase, it was just a matter of how Lucretia would act next, if she was given the opportunity.

Carolynn's eyes flashed at what she heard in the girl's voice, but she quickly regained control. "I believe we will. Don't you think we would have the most beautiful children?" she asked, bringing her clasped hands up to rest at her cheek as she leaned forward in excitement. "And we will dance at the balls and make the others jealous of our passion." Her eyes burned with the possibilities, though it could easily have been played off to a little girl's fantasy.

Lucretia smirked, it was one of those conversations she couldn’t help but enjoy. This woman was nothing more than the rest of the pureblood society. Self indulgent, pampered and prefers words over actions. Lucretia had seen young girls and woman exactly like her.
"You make it sound as if Chase would be willing to have more than one. Unless you're a Seer, which I highly doubt, I wouldn't be looking forward to something unattainable. Since when does Chase get married let alone want to have children?" this woman seemed more childish, it was a wonder why Chase would even agree to her.
"Jealous? Of what? Passion that is only as real as a child's dream? Or one that a grown women deludes herself into believing?" her voice was mocking a soft coo as of speaking to a child who was talking about something completely absurd.

Carolynn's smile turned sour for a moment before she leaned slightly further over the table. "Chase didn't seem to mind the arrangements at all when he saw me today," she pointed out. No matter that people refused to say they would marry when they were younger, they all eventually fell into their duties. "And we will have passion. Oh, but," she started, and let out a little laugh. "What would a girl like you know about true passion?"

Lucretia caught the look and the feeling of control had returned to her. After being cooped up in the Three Broomsticks she had doubted her own ability to have a conversation with someone without succumbing to her own emotions, which almost happened earlier, but now she felt more in control of herself and her emotions once again.
"Ah, the woman who hides behind her looks and jewels seems to be so sure of herself, yet, how much of a women is she in comparison to a young girl" Lucretia said with a small smirk, she was comparing Carolynn to that of any young girl, her lips pulled up as the next question made her pause for a moment.
"I maybe a girl, but it is no secret that true passion will be your ultimate demise, yet a lack of it will only cause self destruction. I may have never had true passion, but never lived with none at all." she ran a hand through her hair waiting for Carolynn, Lucretia had found out she was trying to figure out Carolynn more so than she wanted to figure out Chase at this point, she wouldn't lie to herself, but she was intrigued.
