Markise stood stock-still, refusing to move from the corner, pale blue eyes wide. Straight guys did not hold hands, and he wasn't about to be paraded through a cafe and Diagon Alley doing so. He worked too hard to hide himself, even outside the school, and he wasn't about to stop now.
"Let go!" he hissed, tugging lightly at his hand. They were in public!

Mano hadn't missed Markise coming in, and he certainly hadn't missed that Markise seemed to be with someone. He didn't mind, he had never formed much of an attachment to Markise, though he wished they could have been together more than the one time. When he saw the two go off by themselves, he kept a watchful eye on them, and when he saw Markise's reaction to the physical touch, he handed the charge of the counter to the girl he had working for him, then walked over.
"Customers aren't supposed to be back here, you know," he said, though when he glanced over at Markise his eyes obviously asked is there a problem? While he hadn't formed much of an attachment, he wasn't about to let something happen in his cafe to someone he knew so personally. His back was to the main area of the cafe, conveniently blocking the view of Markise and the other boy's hands.
