Ariel didn't think that the Room of Requirement really counted as inside, especially not when it was turned into a representation of the outback where he had grown up. It was wide, and once the door closed he didn't realize that he was even inside anymore, as he was in a type of valley between two large cliffs. So, he didn't think anyone would mind when he plopped down on a dusty rock to lean back against one cliff to light up a cig.

Larten had just gotten back from Hogsmead , locking up his Wand Shop. It had been a long time since he had done anything in a school nature. He had been gone in Hogsmead for about 5 months now. He hadn't been to the school or anywhere near it, but it seemed he better come back.
Everything was so empty when he entered. He sighed and started to go to the Room of Requirement. When he was there he wished for a place to relax. The door materialized and he entered to find a boy in his year,standing there smoking a cigarette " Those can kill you " he said entering.

Ariel looked over to the side and blew a cloud of smoke toward the guy. "I've got a long time to go before that happens," he said, shrugging as he looked up behind his hair. He would have felt self-conscious about his accent, but he had found it was beneficial to him for certain reasons. He watched the guy for a moment more, then looked in front of him again at the dry expanse of rock and dirt.

Larten moved into the room. It was just something he needed ... A wide open vally and some fresh air. " Life is short...Live it to the fullest." He said with a smile. " Hogwarts has changed...Its so..Empty.." he said kicking a rock.

Ariel shrugged, he hadn't seen Hogwarts any differently than it was just then. "It's not been much different than this since I moved here back in the fall." It was so strange to say that. Back in the fall. And so much had changed since then, most importantly of all his nearly weekly trips into London by knight bus to get some money.

"Logan Callahan," Ariel answered, his middle name coming easy to his lips after so many long weeks insisting on it being his name. He hated being called Ariel, and the only person that still probably would call him that was Markise. He wrinkled his nose and tried to ignore the memories that Markise's name brought to his mind.

Larten nodded. " Ah...Nice name " he said looking to his the opposite side of where Logan was. He stretched and yawned letting his shirt almost show his belly button. He looked at Logan and then the ground . It was getting boring really quickly " I'm bored.." he said absent mindfully.

Ariel's eyes were drawn for half a second to that slim expanse of skin, but years of practice brought them right back around front as he took another long drag from his cig. "Am I supposed to entertain you?" he asked, then leaned back against the cliffside behind him. His own shirt came up subtly, just enough to show his ratty belt that he still hadn't been able to bring himself to replace just yet and the edge of his underwear over that.

Larten looked at Logan and yawned " Nope...So..." he tried to figure out something to talk about..But the only thing that came to mind was .." So...Bang any girls or...boys of late ? " he said not caring his reaction to the question. He just wanted to start a conversation ... And boys talked about sex all the time , nothing different here...right ?

Ariel blinked and glanced over at Larten. He didn't recognize him at all, couldn't recall seeing him or hearing about him at all before. "I've had my fun," he said, looking back in front of him. The guy didn't even know his first name, he couldn't know about anything, including Markise or his recent absences. "Met a brunette named Addy, killer body," he said. One of his brother's girls had been named Addy.

" Adra Snow ? " he asked with a grin coming onto his face. " I know her...We go way back..Got into a fight with her boyfriend...She is a great kisser " he said with a chuckle " Well..Aren't you going to ask me ? " he said with a grin.

Ariel didn't know an Adra Snow, but he would take the bait and run with it. He nodded his agreement to what Larten said, then looked over at him again. "Sure. Have you ...banged any girls or...boys of late?" he asked, turning the question back at Larten, since he seemed so excited to talk about it.

Larten looked at the boy and gave a grin. " I met a...person...Can't tell you who though..I think you know this person" he said not giving him a the sex of the person he was talking about " But ...Last year...Whew..I banged so many girls..At least...6." he said counting with his fingers.

"Why would I know...that person?" Ariel asked, completely ignoring Larten's bedpost niches. He didn't see any reason to know how many, not to mention he had done much better, if with the opposite sex from Larten's list of girls. Had Larten really just said that? Ariel couldn't quite believe it.
