"What am I supposed to do?" Michael asked, feeling entirely clueless. He wasn't used to having to deal with anything like this. "I've never known anyone addicted to anything like this! How can he like it when all it does is stop him from getting through everything? He helps me, whether I want it or not, I want to help him," he said, wondering how he could have thought Markise would help him.

Markise pressed his lips tight, working to keep himself from saying something that would get him hexed. At least it sounded like Michael would really actually do something this time. "Detox him or something, I don't know. I've known people with addictions, but they didn't want help. Like, lock him in a room and make him deal with it or something, dump out his potions," he said, far more serious than his nonchalant words might sound.

Michael's eyebrows came together and he looked down. He couldn't see that going well. There was no way that he could do that himself. He could barely handle Dare yelling at him the once, if it was worse, like Dare locked away from his potions, it would be so much worse. "I don't know if I can do that..." he said doubtfully.

Markise let out a frustrated huff of air. "Honestly, if you think the way to deal with Dare is being weak, you need to just f~ing give up. That's not what he needs. He's only gonna hate you--or us, whatever--as long as it takes to get the stuff out of his system." All this time he'd been trying to convince himself that Michael was good for Dare, that he had to be, if Dare had picked him.

Michael went silent and tried to figure out how he was going to do it. With all of the things he had been through, Dare being angry with him was terrifying. After a few moments, he looked up at Markise with a sort of determination. He had been through worse, they had been through worse. "Will you help me?" he asked, watching Markise.

Markise looked at Michael with annoyance obvious on his face. "Do you really need to ask?" he questioned softly. Michael knew nothing about him and Dare, that much was obvious. He knew enough to hate Markise, but then, the way they'd met had been enough for that. Markise had just been in complete shock that day. He'd moved to England to be with Dare!

Michael glared, then shook his head. "How can we do this?" he asked, putting his hands back in his pockets. He wanted to make it right, the past few days had been horrible, but he had no idea what to do to get Dare to stop. It was hard to think of purposefully making Dare angry with him, but he didn't think that he had much choice if he wanted Dare to stop taking the potions.

Markise looked off into the corridor again, still keeping Michael in his line of vision, and shook his head slowly. "I don't know," he said. "I've never detoxed someone before." He thought for a brief moment. "I saw this Muggle movie once where they just locked themselves in their apartment and freaked out trying to detox themselves. They didn't have any help though." Candy had been one crazy movie. Rand had spent some time after explaining stuff to him.

"We'll just have to go and talk to him," Michael mused, then moved over to the wall of the corridor. He latched on to what they could do, it was better than thinking of the past few days like he had been all day. "Once he's home he puts his bag under the edge of the bed with them," he said, trying to think of some way they could get it. It really wouldn't be that hard, as long as Dare wasn't in the room then.

"Is there somewhere he'd go that he wouldn't bring them?" Markise asked. "He doesn't bring them in the shower or anything, does he?" Markise seriously hoped it wasn't that bad, or he was going to have to figure out how to kick Michael's ass without getting himself killed. "Cause I wouldn't talk to him until he couldn't get to his bag. Or his wand," he added. Not that he could imagine Dare using his wand against them, but if it was anything like he'd seen in that movie, he didn't want to deal with it.

"No," Michael said, shaking his head. "He doesn't take it with him then." He didn't let himself think of how Dare would react to the potions being gone, so he focused on how they could do it. "Do you want to try to come tonight?" he asked. He thought that the sooner they could do it, the better it would be, both for Dare's sake and Michael's own sanity, not to mention their relationship.

Markise's lips pressed tight. He so didn't want to go to DareandMichael's apartment. He gave himself just a moment to sulk before setting it aside, since he knew he'd do it anyway. "I'll be there," he said. "And unless you want him freaking about it, you're either going to have to get his stuff away from him before I show up, or make up some bullsh~ reason why I'm visiting. We didn't part on good terms." That was putting it lightly.

Michael nodded, "I'll try to get it away from him." Maybe Dare wouldn't take his bag when he walked Elouai, or he'd take an early shower. It was going to be a long night, especially since they had class the next day. Michael pulled his hands from his pockets, running them over his face and through his hair before settling them in front of him to fiddle with his ring.

Markise glanced down at the motion of Michael's hand, but dragged his glaring gaze immediately away. "Get his wand too," he reminded Michael. He had a hard time believing that Michael would really take anything away from Dare, but didn't bother saying as much. If he hadn't seen the guy mad, and if he hadn't seen that... tattoo... he'd never have believed the Death Eater bit. "So what time should I be there?" Markise would be stopping by his classes to get the next few days' assignments just in case.

"He doesn't get home until nine or ten every night," Michael said, still trying to plan out how everything was going to work. It sent a pain through his chest to know that, instead of being with Dare for a little while before they went to bed, there was going to be a fight. "I would say after ten, that will give me some time to figure things out." He would have plenty of time before then to figure out what he wanted to do, but making a plan and executing it didn't always match up.
