Michael laughed again and walked around the counter to them, "You need to go get your coat," he said. He held out his hand for the leash if Dare wanted to go get it. It was cold outside, and Michael couldn't imagine Dare wanting to go out there as he was for any length of time. It struck Michael that it was going to be the first time since they had moved in together that they would be apart on a Saturday, even for such a short time.

"Thank you," Dare said gratefully. Sometimes it was easy to forget how miserably cold it was outside, but the moment the door opened he'd be reminded. Dare passed Michael the leash and ran upstairs, already wearing his coat and tugging on his gloves when he came back. He smiled at the picture that Michael and Elouai made as he approached, but as he looked down at the puppy, a bit if concern trickled into his expression. "Will she be warm enough?" he asked. He'd seen dogs wearing ridiculous little costumes before, but were they a necessity?

"She might shiver some, but she'll be alright," Michael said, fairly certain. Even if she did get cold, she was hyper enough to make herself warm. He worked the leash finally from Elouai's teeth and then handed the loop at the end to Dare. "Don't let anyone steal her," he teased, though he didn't see that happening, he could definitely see people stopping her and Dare.

Dare's eyes darkened a bit even at the thought of it. "I'll try not to," he told Michael, matching his teasing tone even if it did little to disguise how protective he felt over the ball of fluff. "I love you," he told Michael again and stole just one more kiss that might have turned into several more if Elouai hadn't attempted to run off and reached the end of her leash. Luckily Dare had looped it around his wrist and she was easily stopped from escape. "I guess that's my cue," he said. It took some effort to get the puppy out the door, but eventually he managed it and headed down the street for the Leaky Cauldron and London.

Michael smiled and stood at the door to watch until they were out of sight behind a small group of people. Then he set to work going through to clean up the enclosures that needed it and making sure to everything had enough clean water. People slowly trickled in in a steady stream soon, meaning that Michael realized how attached he had gotten to some of the animals he had.
