Vannah made her way into the forest, one of her favorite places at Hogwarts---or it was, before it became everyone's favorite place. She passed some kids, first or second years, playing noisily in a clearing. She rolled her eyes. Maybe they thought the forest's creatures were just myths--or that they were invincible. Vannah pointed her wand upward and said a spell to attract pixies. She could hear the hum of their wings already, but instead of staying and marveling at her work, she turned and walked farther into the Forest, away from the noise.
Vannah found her usual clearing with the familiarly marked tree. She let her fingers trace over the carved heart before sitting down at the trunk. Vannah dozed off because when she opened her eyes to see who was making those loud footsteps, the sun had gone down.

Ryan walked into the clearing and froze when he saw Vannah. He had not seen here in a while and was worried about her alot. He walked up to her "So when did you get back?"

Vannah couldn't identify the voice right away and she had to blink a few times until everything came back into focus. "Ryan!" She said in surprise. Vannah jumped up and brush away dirt and leaves from her clothing. She practically jumped on him as she threw her arms around his neck. "I've missed you so much!" She exclaimed. She stepped back when the tone of his voice registered with her. Of course he would want answers, but she didn't want to talk about any of that yet. There was a lot of catching up to do.
She took him in. His voice was a little deeper than she remembered and he looked different too. Tired maybe? Older? She couldn't quite put her finger on it.

Ryan hugged her when she jumped on him and looked at her when she stepped back. He could tell she didn't want to talk about the same thing he did at the time, so he decided not to push it. "I've missed you too Vannah. You have no idea how much I have missed you."

A pang of guilt struck at Vannah's heart. She made excuses for herself over the past few months. It was easier to place the blame on something else, after all. With the exception of one last excuse, Vannah promised herself she would deal with the mess she made later and pushed the thoughts from her mind.
A grin spread across Vannah's face. "You could show me," She said stepping closer. Her hands ran through his smooth hair and she leaned in kissing him softly at first.

Ryan smiled and put his arms around Vannah returning her kiss. He ran his hands through her hair and made the kiss more forceful and passionate.

Vannah pulled away gently. She knew if she hadn't stopped then, she wouldn't be able to stop and it would hve gone farther than she wanted it to. Vannah sat down in her former place and pulled him down so he was sitting opposite of her. "Now, tell me everything. What have I missed?" She asked her eyes blazing. There was nothing like good gossip.

Ryan sat down and looked at her "Actually I don't even know. After I saw that you had left I decided to go back home and stay with my family for a while."
