[Adara Snow]

It wasn't a long walk from the Hospital Wing, but Adara was worn by the time they reached the Headmistress's office. The day's events were making her heavy, and even the dull numbness that swept through her couldn't quite hold sadness at bay. She clutched her journal against her chest, the cover flecked with blood on one corner. Her wand was tucked away in a skirt that would never be cleansed of bloodstains, Emilian's wand resting beside it. She raised her hand and knocked lightly, then turned to look at Dru for mutual support.

Dru felt as though she could say something when she met Adara's eyes, but there was nothing to say. She looked back at the door, her hand deep in her pocket, gently rubbing the handle of Chase's wand. She felt dirty, though she knew that her face and hands were clean of blood, she could feel it weighing down her clothes and it felt like she was carrying an extra hundred pounds with her.

"Come in!" Called Hells as she sat at her desk. She couldn't remember the last time she had been so busy as she had been in the last week. She had been working on something of importance, but put it to one side as she sat patiently for her guests to come in and be seated.

Adara entered at the Headmistress's summons, the sudden shift of energy as they walked in another shock to her already fragile system. She made no excuses for her appearance, but brought out Emilian's wand and laid it on the Headmistress's desk. "Emilian is in the hospital wing," she said, "along with Chase." She turned to look at Dru, silently prompting her for details.

Dru lay Chase's wand tenderly down on Hells' desk and stared at it while she sat. For a few moments of feeling Adara's eyes on her, she spoke, her eyes still on the wands. "They fought." Her voice sounded strange in her ears. "They were unconscious when we took them to the hospital wing, still are." She didn't know what to say, and she chanced a glance up at Hells.

Hells gazed at the two wands laying on her desk as she listened to Dru's voice. She had guessed something like this was to happen and was disappointed. "What exactly happened?" She asked the two ravenclaws, dragging her eyes away from the wands to the fragile girls sat in front of her.

Adara bit her lip as she took her seat, placing her journal on her lap and folding her hands atop it before she spoke her point of view. "They have fought before," she began. "But I spoke with Chase then, and he left." She glanced up at the Headmistress, then lowered her eyes to her hands. "We were beside the lake when a spell was thrown. They argued..." Chase had revealed another of Emilian's indiscretions. Adara's heart seized at the thought. She gave a brief description of the fight, her voice low, only wavering now and then until her memories faded, and she'd retreated into herself. "That is all that I can recall until it was over. Emilian was unconscious." She glanced aside at Dru, then returned her gaze to the fold of her pale fingers against one another.

Dru listened to Adara's story and then started in on her own. "We were going to the club, me and Chase, and he saw Emilian and Adara by the lake. He started acting funny and I told him to come on, but he wouldn't listen." She told her side of the story, which was much the same as Adara's, save filling in where Adara couldn't remember. How the two had exchanged spells until they couldn't hold a wand any longer.

Hells shook her head slowly as she raised from her chair and took the wands from their resting place. "Unfortunately we had a feeling this would happen, even if I did warn Chase to resist temptation." She said, studying the two wands in her hand. "Okay, I shall keep hold of these until now, although whether Emilian will get his back at all is another matter. Are you two coming to the hospital wing or do you wish to return to your houses?" Hells asked as she leant down and opened a drawer in her desk. She placed the wands inside, then took out a small vial, before closing it. Standing up, she faced the two girls and awaited their replies.

Adara had to think over her response, a fact that sent so many conflicting thoughts and emotions through her that she couldn't immediately form words. He had hurt her beyond words, but if she left, if she hid from him, the wound would never heal. "I will return to the hospital," she said softly. She had to see him, had to reassure herself.

[Druscilla Grace]

Dru nodded in agreement, she needed to prove to Chase that she wouldn't leave him, even if it seemed like she didn't support his decision. She watched the wands disappear and then stood shakily, she felt as though she were walking in a dream. Her eyes glued to the vial that Hells held in her hand, wondering if it was what she thought it was.

[Headmistress Hells]

Calmly, Hells nodded as she carefully placed the vial beneath her robes. "Ok girls. Make your way back to the hospital wing. I shall follow shortly. I just need to take care of something first." Turning around and placing her back towards the girls, Hells looked out of the window as she waited for the two students to leave. There was just one more thing she needed to take care of before she went and visited the irresponsible pair lying in the hospital.

Adara nodded, then rose silently and left. She had much to think about.

Dru followed Adara out, but not before giving Hells one last glance. She wondered what the Headmistress had in store for Chase and Emilian.
