Being in her last year at Hogwarts, Aredal had often wondered what she was to do once the year was over. She had, of course, the pub and for some reason Aredal was hesitant to part with it. A letter had arrived that morning from her mother, stating that Egypt was "Fabulous" and "So utterly magnificent" so much so that "There's still so much to examine, but you're getting older now and I'm sure you won't want us around you for Christmas when you could be spending it with your friends." which basically told Aredal that once again she would be spending Christmas without her family. It wasn't all bad, she thought to herself as she folded the letter back up and placed it into her apron pockets. She wouldn't be alone for sure, as many of the villagers often popped in on Christmas day to wish her a good day and there were other's that had no family who spent a couple of hours, chatting about when they were younger and their days at Hogwarts.
Placing her hands on her hips, she gazed around the pub, her mind ticking over. Maybe this year she would make an effort. This year she would do a Christmas Dinner. that way she wouldn't be sat on her own tucking into a turkey leg listening to the radio feeling pitiful, but instead with other's, laughing and enjoying herself. Of course, she couldn't do it for free, but she was sure some wouldn't mind paying a couple of Galleon or so for a meal. She'd of course have to get a larger tree and better decorations, but her year's takings were impressive and allowed for Aredal to splash out a little.
Gazing into space, Aredal went of into her little dream world, her mind absorbed of visions of festivity, laughter and carol singing.
