She looked at Markise, " I think Your right. Well, Its not your fault man, I mean... Your too new here. I like wondering around but, this place gives me the creeps. I don't know why. There is SOMETHING not right here". She felt her sixth sense alert and took out her wand, and pointed ahead, just in case, She kept her gaze in front of her and asked Markise," Hey, I have a strong feeling that.... there is someone else here... Can you feel it"? She asked him.
Now the corridor were getting darker and darker by every step. lumos she mumbled and tip of her wand lit, it was not enough light, but it was better then nothing.
"Hey Markise, I'm SURE that NOOOT the way to the library". She said with confidence. Suspense shove her fear away and she felt like an adventurer all of the sudden. She asked Markise with excitement, "Should we check out, where this corridor leads? Or should we turn back to where we came from"? She asked him with a exited smile on her face.

Markise shook his head. "I'm going back," he said definitely. He wasn't one to throw himself into potentially dangerous situations just for the thrill of it, possibly one of the reasons he'd been sorted into Hufflepuff rather than Gryffindor with his sister. "You can go ahead, though." Markise couldn't feel anything but an overwhelming sense of discomfort, and there was nothing Katherine could do to get him to keep going down a creepy dark corridor. Markise took a few steps backward, letting Katherine know that he was serious, he was going back, then asked, "Are you coming with me?" She could go ahead if she wanted, but he wouldn't go with her.

She looked back at Markise with disbelieve. She wanted to say don't be a coward but didn't. He wasn't coward, he wasn't just daring like her. She wanted him to say good bye and REALLY wanted to go on but that guy gave him company...she didn't wanted to leave him alone either. She sighed, threw a last desperate glance at the dark corridor then turned to Markise. "Fine..." She sighed, "Lets go". She said sadly and joined Markise... "But do you remember our way back"? She asked him with a teasing smile. He was a nice guy and helpful too. She found out that the guy wasn't very brave but he still helped her. "So Tell me about yourself?" She had no idea why she asked this? Maybe cause she felt that guy felt like a friend, or maybe just to break the ice.

"Of course I know the way back," Markise said, lifting his chin a bit in mock offense. He did know his way back, it was one of the things he'd been getting used to doing lately, keeping track of where he'd come from so he couldn't get entirely lost. He looked down at Katherine for her next question, though. "What do you want to know about me?" There was so much that it was hard to just pick something and go.

She looked up at him and shrugged, "Well...anything... hmm... well anything I should know... Now that we are friends" She said looking away. She always do that. Nobody turn her down usually and accept her friendship. She smiled at him again. "So... who's your BEST friend here? Your favorite subject. Your favorite place?" She gave him few starting points so he can easily start the conversation.

"I really like the lake," Markise said, leaving her other question for a moment to think about. "There wasn't this much space at my last school that was actually worth hanging out around, so the view at the lake is really awesome." As for his best friend... The easy answer should have been Dare, but he and Dare had grown apart over the last months, and he wasn't sure. Of course, that left him with Ariel, and as far as best friends went, Ariel wasn't even plausible. "His name's Dare," Markise said at last. "We went to our old school together. He and his brother Silver came out last year, and this year, I came with my sister." The short story was going to have to work for her.
