There was nothing else Dare could think to say right now. As he tightened his arms around Michael, as he breathed in the smell of Michael that he could never forget, there wasn't any way to say what he was feeling, more than his softly whispered, I love you. They would have stayed there all night if they hadn't realized how dark it was getting. They couldn't see each other anymore, and though it didn't really matter when Dare could feel Michael, could smell him and hear the soft sounds of his breathing, all the same, he made himself stand and pull Michael up with him. "We should go to bed," Dare said softly, looking at Michael's moonlight-edged face. "We have school tomorrow."

Michael reluctantly stood and nodded, unable to meet Dare's eyes in the face of how different he looked in the moonlight. He reached up to push away some of Dare's hair so more of the light hit his face, "I've always loved moonlight." His eyes trailed over Dare's face, examining how certain curves were accented by the moonlight only to drop into almost complete darkness a millimeter away.

Dare's lips curved as he looked at Michael, watching the shadows as well. The play of light had been his latest passion in drawing, hand-in-hand with portraits. "I'd love to draw you like this," he said. His gaze slipped down to Michael's chest, made pale in the milky light from the full moon aglow outside the windows. Then his gaze slipped farther, uncontrollably, taking Michael in like a work of art. His eyes began to rise again, absorbing the light and shadows, the faded color.
"I'd love to draw you," he murmured. "I'd love to practice figure drawing on you. The light is so soft..." His eyes rose to Michael's, and he blinked. "I wouldn't ask you to be completely...undressed, just...a sheet..." Dare caught himself, and shook his head. "I'm sorry, just ignore that," he said softly. "I was just thinking out loud." It was so easy to get lost in dreams sometimes.

Michael didn't know how to react to that, whether to look away with a grin that Dare wanted to do it, or rub his neck awkwardly...because Dare wanted to do it. So he merely looked away, down at Dare's hand as he took it. "Let's go to bed," he said, though he was still thinking about it. Figure drawing. it was obviously something Dare wanted to do, he had even mentioned doing it with Emilian. What would it hurt for Michael to do it? It would just be the two of them, and Michael letting Dare explore farther into what he loved to do.
