Michael didn't catch the shift, he had been too distracted by Dare. His eyes had caught on the hair that looked just as good as if it had just been styled to Michael before his gaze was brought down towards the edge of those low pants. He tilted his head slightly as he took in the sight of Dare's torso, which seemed all the longer from the pants, his mind going down a path that wasn't the safest to go down, though it did bring a spark to his eyes and make his lips curve slightly.
It took a second for Dare's question to sink in, then, and when he finally understood he straightened and forced his eyes up to Dare's face, meeting his eyes before settling on his lips, considering the answer. "It would be weird kissing you," he said, putting his hands in his pockets as he brought his eyes back up to Dare's. "But I would get used to it, I think you'd look good with one," he finished, nodding.

Dare's eyes were laughing lightly, but there was more to the gleam in the green than humor. He felt warmer from the look Michael had given him. Dare's tongue swept briefly over suddenly dry lips, but he pushed his thoughts back for now. "I was thinking about getting one," he said, his eyes slipping of their own will down to Michael's exposed chest and abdomen. "What kind of jewelry do you like?" he asked, hoping it sounded like it was still on-topic. I'm into silver myself." Michael didn't wear jewelry, so there was nothing to do but ask. Dare headed to the bed and sat on the edge, facing Michael, flicking him a glance of subtle invitation.

Michael shrugged and went over to sit cross-legged on the bed by Dare, his head down at knowing he'd been caught looking, though he could feel Dare's eyes on his own torso, so the blush that spread up his neck wasn't purely from being caught. "I like silver, but when I actually wore something, it was usually something leather," he said, "Or rope." He set his elbows on his knees and dropped his hands in front of his legs to mess absently with a string coming from his pants that somehow had made it through his tendency to pull strings off the moment he saw them.

Dare's lips spread into a wide grin at Michael's reply, and it was all he could do to keep it down to a poorly smothered chuckle. "Really," he asked, his voice light with private amusement. "I'd like to see you in leather," he said, eyes glittering. "Or rope," he added. His mind was making leaps he knew Michael's hadn't meant, just by the casual way he'd said it. Even if he could imagine Michael with a leather bracelet, it was far more entertaining thinking of the other.

Michael tilted his head at Dare's reaction, not understanding what was so funny about jewelry made from leather or rope, he much preferred wearing that kind of natural pieces to metals. He raised his gaze to Dare's, which only made him raise an eyebrow at the light he saw in them. "What's so funny?" he asked, tugging gently at the string as he went over his words again in his mind.

Dare's eyes laughed, but they also sparked with intent. How could Michael not make the connection? "I was just thinking how good you'd look with leather bracelets..." Dare shifted, his hands curving lightly around Michael's wrists. Then Dare leaned closer, pressing Michael back against the bed and drawing Michael's hands lightly over his head. The humor faded slightly from Dare's eyes, nudged out by the thrill of the idea.

Michael still didn't fully comprehend what Dare meant, though an idea started to form in his mind, something Mano had said once that hadn't meant anything to Michael at the time. He stretched, Dare pulling his arms up having made him realize the tension from sleep was still in his muscles, letting his legs hang down over the edge of the bed and focusing on Dare's eyes, though the position he was in was rather distracting. "I haven't even worn those in a long time."

Dare grinned down at Michael, his eyes growing smokier by the moment. He almost asked if Michael was playing with him, but Michael's eyes were so amazingly expressive that there could be no misunderstanding...on his part, anyway. Dare moved, the pressure on Michael's wrists growing a moment as Dare shifted over him, straddling him. "I remember that first day we were together, you caught my wrists," he said.

Michael's eyes sparkled at the memory, "Mhm, and you said you were in control." And Michael had told him to prove it, which had led to him pulling away in discomfort. It hadn't really occurred to him how far he had come until he had the comparison there. There he was, both of them shirtless, with Dare straddling him, and he was perfectly fine, and the faint marks on his chest and neck leftover from the day they had went swimming were a testament to how far he had come.

Dare grinned again at the reminder. "I am in control," he claimed. He was now, at least. Dare leaned forward, bringing his lips half a breath away from Michael's, dropping his gaze to look at them. "Any arguments?" he murmured, their lips brushing with the motion. Part of his mind realized that he'd been completely distracted from the line of questioning he'd been on, but he was too happy with the current state of things to care. He had plenty of time for that later.

Michael shifted underneath Dare, tugging lightly at his arms though he made no real attempt to pull away, he was just trying for those touches that sent shivers racing up his legs and spine to his hands. He shook his head, "I've had enough of control for a while." He didn't know why he had done it the night before, just that it had felt right and that it hadn't really been a conscious decision on his part. Not that he regretted it, he had thoroughly enjoyed it, but it was good to be back to normal.

The motions of Michael's body sent thrills through Dare, and he inhaled sharply, his eyes closing for just one brief moment. Then his gaze sought Michael's again. He thought about his next words carefully, trying to phrase them just right. Then he spoke, softly. "Even when you're not in control, I'll always...defer to you," he said. It was as close as Dare could come at that moment to admitting that he'd do anything for Michael. As much as Dare might play the leader, he knew that in a heartbeat, Michael could change that with a word, a look, or a shift in muscles. Dare's gaze dropped, and he brought his lips feather light against Michael's, waiting, wondering. Would he say something? Or was there nothing to say that couldn't be said better with a kiss?

Michael smiled at that and looked over Dare's face for a few long seconds before his eyes fell closed and he tilted his jaw up for a kiss. He knew he would do anything for Dare, that Dare could probably talk him in to anything, and, though he knew the power that gave Dare, it didn't bother him. That in itself said how much Michael trusted him. He went to move his arms, only to remember that Dare held them captive, which made him smile softly into the kiss.

Dare felt that smile, so he ignored his first reflex and didn't let Michael go. Rather, he let a bit more of his weight rest on Michael's wrists as he bent farther forward, bringing their chests lightly together. He flowed into the kiss, which was, for all the emotion, all the attraction, a melding of both. It was amazingly sensual. Dare didn't know how they'd gotten here, but if he was dreaming, he didn't want to wake up.

Michael was amazed at how the intensity and passion could be there even after so long of being constantly together, after the kiss they had just shared a few minutes before. But it was there all the same, and when it finally slowed to a stop Michael's eyes were hazy when he opened them to look back up at Dare. "Wow," he breathed, grinning at the tease back to the times Dare had said the same thing.
