Dare looked back at his drawing, but didn't add anything to the page. He nodded. "Since the last of June," he admitted. The same day Michael and Anna had broken up. It was strange to think of it that way, but as with everything that had happened between them, it had just happened. "He didn't lie to Anna," Dare went on. "He didn't know. It just...happened." Why was it that he felt like he owed Dru answers, when he'd avoided saying anything to Emilian? Dare mentally shrugged. Maybe he trusted her because of his brother, or because Michael had trusted her, loved her. Another strange thought.

Dru tilted her head and chewed her lip, "What happened? I mean," she paused, thinking of how to rephrase. "I never imagined, how did you two get together?" She wanted to know, though part of it might have just been morbid curiosity. It was hard to wrap her mind around the fact that Dare and Michael were a couple, it was hard to imagine the two of them together.

Dare shrugged lightly, not blowing Dru's question off; it was hard to put into words, though. "We met and we just...hit it off," he said honestly. His hand sought the back of his neck again, rubbing absently. "I kind of..." He shrugged again. "Cameontohimalittle," he said softly. "It didn't work, but he thought about it, and..." Another light shrug. "He decided to try and it worked out." Why did it feel like less of an invasion of privacy having Dru ask him?
Still, it was uncomfortable. Even if Dare wasn't into labels, even if he didn't generally care what people thought about him, this was still ever so slightly nerve-wracking. He hoped Michael wouldn't be upset at him for telling Dru these things. Dare's head rose at that thought, and he turned to look at Dru, mossy green eyes suddenly worried. "No one knows," he said. "Well, except Anna, and Adara and Emilian...Silver...and you..." It sounded like quite a list once he said it out loud. But really, that was only five people.

"I won't go telling," Dru assured, it wasn't her place to do that. She had a hard time imagining Michael going with the idea. It was hard enough to imagine them together, much less the actual process of getting together. "So...I'm sorry, it's just...I don't want to say weird, but it's different thinking that he's gay." She felt her cheeks turn red, and she felt rather shallow for saying it. "Sorry, I don't mean to be..." she trailed off, feeling like if she continued she'd dig herself into a hole.

Dare shook his head and turned to look back at his sketchbook again. "No, I know...I can imagine it'd be weird." He wanted to argue the label, but didn't feel like it was really worth the effort of the technicalities. He couldn't think what else to say to that. Silver had been surprised, obviously, but he hadn't said it was weird. Still, it could be worse. She could be calling him freak or gayboy, or telling him he'd ruined Michael.

Dru cringed slightly, the feeling that she had done something wrong increased by how he wasn't looking at her. "It sounded a lot worse than it did in my head," she said softly, sighing as she did. She put her elbow on the arm of the couch and propped her head in her hand. "There's nothing wrong with it, I mean, I'm not against it or anything, it's just a suprise." She thought back over what she had said and shook her head, putting her other hand over her face. "I'm going to stop talking now."

The plan had been to go straight to the dungeons, but the call of seeing Dare had been too great to resist, so Michael found himself in the Room of Requirement yet again. But when he walked in he saw not only Dare, but Dru as well. Dru seemed tense, as did Dare, and his footsteps slowed as he walked in and greeted them, shooting Dare a questioning glance.

Dare hadn't known what to say, and so he'd been silent, his quill moving idly against the page, filling in a leaf with shimmering silver. At the sound of the door, he'd looked up to see Michael, and relief had washed through him. His eyes brightened a moment, then dimmed again as he glanced at Dru. "She knows," he said simply, then made a face of discomfort. "Anna told her. She just left." That was only the beginning of things, but it was a start.

Dru gave a sheepish smile and looked from Dare to Michael, trying to feel anything between them. But really, they hadn't been together long enough in the room for her to sense anything. "I've been digging myself a hole," she said, attempting some humor and shrugging slightly as she brought her hand down to rest in her lap.

Michael's eyes had darted up to Dru at Dare's words, then back to Dare as they widened at the fact that Anna had been in there. He barely caught Dru's comment, but could imagine that she had been saying some things, it didn't surprise him. He sat next to Dare, between him and where Dru sat on the couch, and leaned back. He glanced down at the page and smiled softly when he saw the design that was on his hand, arm, and chest in silver spread across it. "What happened?" he asked after a moment of looking at the design, turning his eyes up to Dare.

Dare could feel the tension melting away already, little by little. Just the fact that Michael seemed cool with Dru, and that brief smile, was a relief, and Dare straightened slightly, no longer hiding so much behind his hair. "Anna came in after I got here. I panicked," he admitted, dropping his gaze back down to his sketchbook. "Gave her my middle name. Then Dru came in, and she..." He glanced up at her. "She had some news." He figured she'd want to say it herself, though it involved his brother.

Dru grimaced at her news being brought up, she had all but forgotten the negative parts, and sighed before speaking. "Me and Silver got together," she said, then paused before the next. "And I told Chase earlier, he wasn't very happy about it." Michael would know how Chase would react, better than Anna or Dare had, so she didn't elaborate on it.

Michael felt for Dare, he couldn't imagine how he had felt sitting there with Anna and Dru. It had taken him a moment to switch his mind to Dru, but when the news sank in, he couldn't stop a grin as he looked up at her. "I knew you'd give him up sooner or later, I told Silver!" Then he concentrated on the second part, and his lips drooped slightly, "You couldn't have expected him to take it well," he said.

Dare looked up from his sketchbook again. He'd been too distracted to sense Dru's discomfort last time she'd brought up her news, but this time, with Anna gone and Michael here, he picked up on it. "Congratulations, by the way," Dare said to Dru, giving her his blessing with his brother, for what it was worth.
He decided to continue on with the story then, and let Dru out of the spotlight, if she wanted out. He brought his gaze back to Michael. "Then Anna brought up her news," Dare said, leaving it at that. Michael could imagine Dare's mortification if he wanted to. Dare looked back down at his sketchbook and started filling in another leaf.

Dru nodded her thanks to Dare and let herself be happy for the few moments before he spoke again, then her eyes fell again as her mind went back over what all Anna had said. She still didn't know how Dare had survived it without bolting. There was nothing she could think to add, so she remained silent and let Dare give Michael the information.
