Dammit! Where's Sirius?! He's like, my idol! Fine, I'll vote Neville, because of the end of book 7, and Ginny, for being the woman strong enough to get with the hero.

And I'm going to complain because when I vote it doesn't show the results! What the hell is up with that?!

I stand by Sirius. Hello; flying motorcycle, anyone? And yes, I'm ignoring the fact that he's allegedly Chase's idol. And Severus deserves a vote for having a life that was tragic from beginning to end. He was a greasy git, but he gave selflessly to the cause, and died for it, with the world thinking him a traitor and a coward. That, my friends, is true bravery.

He wasn't a Gryffindor at heart, so you can stop right there, Dare. Yes, I respect him; he was an amazing wizard. That one potions book alone was a testament to that, but he was a Slytherin through and through. He wanted the power. It bit him in the ass, and eventually he made the right choice, but I'm not letting you claim fellow-feeling with him.

I'm not claiming fellow-feeling, really. And at least I had the individual thought to vote people who weren't specifically on the list. Isn't there anyone you would have voted for, Silver? Remus, for example, who so quietly and patiently gave himself for the cause, supporting and keeping the Marauders as under control as he could? (Even if he did stupidly let himself orphan his son in the final battle.)

Snape (not on list) - Well said Dare. All gave some, Some gave all.
Tonks (Not on list) - I'd love to change my appearance all the time!
McGonagall (Not on list) - I like cats, and she was the one adult that would give a straight answer. That's worthy of my respect
Hermione - She was so smart, and made the boys look like fools

No Lupin? We have Bellatrix but no Lupin? I have a feeling should "Other" have been an option, then that would win the vote! If I could have voted for my Favourite Characters, I would have chosen Remus Lupin and Mrs Weasley. It was the B!tch line that did it for me. What a woman!

I've noticed something I thought I'd share. When I come in on Opera, it flashes the results at me. If I take a quick screenshot and paste it into Paint... Not surprised no one's voted for Bella, but poor Dumbles is getting the shaft (and not in any way he might appreciate).
